Exclamation "RPhoneMan" error - TOTAL storage card erase

On three separate occasions I have seen this error message: “The file RPhoneMan cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components can not be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.”

This phenomenon only happens when I am tying to add movies/files to my storage card via “Mass “Storage”. When this error occurs it either freezes the phone for a minute and then everything returns to normal or, on two occasions (like today) it COMPLETELY erases/reformats my 8 gig internal storage. (Yes, I have the back up program to restore the phone BTW). My issue is that I have no clue as to why this is happening and I don’t know what the perfect storm of unknown factors may play a role in this inconvenience.

I have searched the board for “RPhoneMan” and similar issues but I came up with nothing.

1. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have a clue how I can stop this from happening in the future.

2. Is there some to do/don’t do checklist that insures a successful transfer every time?

3. Does it matter that you have some programs actively running, that are stored on the memory card, as you are doing a Mass storage transfer?

ANY assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
