Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages
A couple of similar discussions have taken place on the issue and I have experienced the same with some other PPC devices I have had in the past. Check the time zone your Omnia is set for home under Settings\System tab to make sure it is set for your time zone. If you are using Active Sync with a PC, check the PC's time zone to make sure it matches that of the Omnia (and is correct). You can do a search on this site to see other possible solution if the two listed here don't resolve the issue.

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages
I'm having the same issue. I've triple checked that the time zone is correct (US Central Time). I only sync with an exchange server and I'm absolutely certain that the time is correct. I've also found a registry "fix" that was for the HTC Touch and that didn't work either. Any other suggestions?

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages
Same problem here. Time zone setting on the Omnia is correct, as are the clocks on both of the desktops I sync with.

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages
I've even tired this registry edit that was put out for the HTC Touch Diamond:
1) Goto HKLM/SOFTWARE/OEM/PhoneSetting 2) Add DWORD Value 'TrustTimeZoneField' 3) Set value = 0 It didn't work either. ![]() |

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages
So, I know you have checked the Omnia clock settings, but what about the winmo clock settings?

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages
I had the same issue with VZW Omnia -- all incoming SMS were 5 hours behind the actual time... a hard reset fixed it (still working to date).
I ended up on a tech support phone call with this issue... It is an issue known to both Verizon and Samsung and "will be addressed in a future software update." Basically, this is a known bug. -A |

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages
I had the same problem.. tinkered with it a little and works as it should.
Main Menu>Clock>Menu (right soft key)> Options - "Automatic system time zone update?" Set to OFF. |
