Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages

frankfmoney is correct this does fix the problem. I just wanted to add something because my Automatic system time zone update was set to OFF.

I turned the Automatic System Time Zone Update ON. Than I turned it off. A little check box will appear. Uncheck that box as well. All Fixed.

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages

Why don't I have that option. I go to Main Menu>Clock>Menu....and I just get (Delete mode) and (exit) as options. Thats all.

Where is the automatic system time zone update box?????

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages

also worked for me today, at least after testing w/1 txt.

birdman, once you get to the Clock menu, make sure you have "clock" selected and not "alarm". this affects the menu/clock/menu options..

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages

Here's a trick that will fix that bug. Well, it's actually a work-around for the bug.

1. Go to "Clocks & Alarms"
2. Set the "Home" time zone to "GMT -1 AZORES"
3. Then, manually change it to the correct time

It worked for me. I was sending and receiving with the correct time displayed.

I've yet to see what happens when I use Active Sync after this time zone adjustment. It may reset my time to my computer's time, which would be "GMT Central US" time.

Hope this helps somebody.

Yep, they told me the same crap months ago. Not only was the incoming time wrong, I was receiving text messages minutes or even hours after they were actually sent. I tried to wait for the "Samsung Software Update" but just recently asked for a replacement phone. This one seems to be working fine...for now.

Re: Time stamp wrong on Text messages

Sorry to hijack an old thread, but I've had this problem for a while now. I'm using Adryns 6.5 ROM and haven't been able to find the daylight savings option on it. Anyone know what I can do?

Did you try the workaround posted a few posts up where you change the time zone to a bogus one (not yours) then change it back again to yours?

It worked for me back when I had the trouble. I don't recall if I had to soft reset in between but I don't think so but when in doubt...
