You had the key ingredients I didnt know where to find the dialer tiles, nor where to find the lock image. Those were the final keys to the puzzle in making this possible.

Yeah thats the Modaco dialer mod for the i900. The registry isn't touched, its hex editing of the secdialer.dll to disable the lock mechanism, and then replacing the lock image with a 1x1 white pixel image.

This one does not disable any of the buttons that the Modaco version does. Despite the appearances, the i900 and i910 dialers are not the same. They look, and work mostly the same, but the dll structure is different. Thats why we cannot use the i900 mod, and have to use our own from an i910 dll.

Once again, no apparent side effects and I used myself as a guinea pig before offering this to you fine folks. If you do not like it, or have issues, simply uninstall it from Remove Programs. I am using it, if it eases anyone's nerves.

While this is my work, I used the same method Paul from Modaco outlined when he hacked the i900 version. I just had to modify it a bit for the i910 version.

Its as simple as modifying the bmps and putting them back on the phone.

My particular mods (not all my work) are on my skydrive if you want them.

I guess that means I have a new project on my hands!!! I like customizing the screens on my device. How is this in landscape? Is it the same as with the Today screen on how it treats the wallpaper, or are there different backgrounds between profile + landscape?

Thanks fastevolutionviii....I notice the lock screen is in there as well...is that a file from the original, or from the customized version? Does this new dialer allow turning the lock on + off with the customization, or is it a choice between having hte lock or having the dialer screen looking like you want it to?

These are all the original files from the original dialer w/ lock feature. I have yet to DL and install Adrynalyne's patched dialer but I assume you can still modify the images to suite your needs.
