Why does this happen?

I do occassionally have to watch the character count with SMS, splitting the message where I want then completing the thought on a second message. Another work-around is available for long messages, use MMS. Open a new MMS and type from the text line above the boxes to add pics, video, audio. MMS delivers messages without splitting.

I had the same problem in my Sprint TouchPro activated on Verizon. This regedit fixed the problem, I now get messages in more than one part & the entire message gets through no matter how long it is.

I have no idea if this same fix works in an Omnia or not:

Navigate to HERE:
Step 1
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\SMS\TextShare d
you will find something in there that says:
ab (default)
(value not set)
if its there then ignore it and if its not there then dont worry about it.
Step 2
add a
DWORD Value of this below
EMSHandlerInstalled
DWORD Data is 1
and Base is DEC on the radial button.

Any idea how to determine if EMSHandler is actually installed? Search fails to find it. And where to get it if not? This edit merely tells windows it is installed.
