Any chance this will work on a Mac? It seems as though the software is based on the phone... If I had a usb cable with me, I would give it a shot. Maybe tomorrow.

*edit*

I have tried this with a mac. It gives me a self-assigned ip address without running this program. When I run the program, it tells me to check my cable.

I have a mac and after installing both cabs as the instructions say, I started it up on the phone and all my Macs and iTouch see it and can connect through it just fine (no cables needed). I was at the lacrosse fields last night and using my iTouch for about an hour.

You haven't installed VZApps have you? That used to be the culprit, and knowing VZW they haven't done anything to fix it!!

haha ... no the vzapp zone link was on my programs list but not installed and its not in the add/remove programs list... it was working before i installed wmrouter and then it worked a few time using wmrouter ... and then i tried to do it again and it was a no go :\ vz navigator was installed but i uninstalled that :)
thanks

Why go to all of that problem. Use your active sync cable and PDANet. It works great and it should less battery since you will not be using the WiFi radio and the EVDO radio at the same time.

well if i decide to go that route the wifi radio in general isnt working right now so i would still have a phone that has no wifi :\... and also i dont always have my sync cable with me i.e. visiting a friends house or for just some random occasion. but yes it would definitely use much less power :) ... my completely uneducated guess is that the program may have tweaked something in the registry that disabled my wifi radio... it doesnt even show up in manage wireless connections all i get is phone and bluetooth off/on :P....

You can also use ICS without WMWIFIRouter.
