damn i really need this working, need to use it in hotel. if this usb ics dont work, will the wifi version work for me? thanks in advance for any help

it doesn't hurt to try...

ICS is the free way to go...I really suggest uninstalling everything and re-installing and then follow the instructions from the first post of this thread...also un-install the drivers for ur local area connection 5...and start over like ur trying it for the first time...

i meant sharing the omnia internet over wifi. but i will try and unistall eveything.

This is a great thread, I am a noo b but I try and read up on everything I can. Before I try something like this, I want to back up everything. Pdub, what do you use to back up everything? I think that should be step one (optional) for this installation (especially for a noo b like me). I am very anxious to do this, but want to be careful as well. Is there anything else besides a back up prior to this installation?

I use SPB, I have never had any problems with it, and it has a pretty reliable ROM upgrade mode. I do know RESCO has a good one as well though.

i use SPB backup...its not free but saving all my info is worth 20 bucks to me...
