Games for the Omnia
Ok... I wanted to start a thread where users could post good Omnia games for other users. The reason that I'm starting this is because DJRedLine posted the files for HTC Teeter and I installed it. I love this game!!! Then syrguy1969 posted that he had a game called Resco Bubbles that was similar. I downloaded the trial for that game and love it as well (wish I could convince my wife to let me buy the full version).
Anyway... Let's post files and links to games that we know work well on the Omnia and are fun. ______________________________________________ 1.) HTC Teeter **Thanks to DJRedLine** A tilt game where you get the steel ball down a hole while avoiding other holes. Install .net 3.5 (Look in this Post http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=51532) Extract the HTC.zip into your windows directory (contains needed accelerometer files) Install Teeter - HTC_Teeter_by_Swtos.cab Extract Teeterpatch.zip onto phone then overwrite the files into teeter installation directory ______________________________________________ 2.) Resco Bubbles (Trial Version) **Thanks to syrguy1969** Great tilt game where you pop bubbles in the correct order with a ball bearing. Similar to Teeter. Here is the link to the official Resco site: http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/bubbles/ Install the bubbles_p.arm.cab file ______________________________________________ 3.) Lightsaber **Thanks to DJRedLine** I haven't tried this one yet, sounds like an interesting program so I included it. Install the Lightsaber_1.0.CAB file Last edited by Phantom27; 02-05-2009 at 01:55 PM. |

Re: Games for the Omnia
My faves (where you need to have WVGAFix3 installed I have noted with a [W]):
Scrobble 1.2 = Best freeware Scrabble-type game out there. Good dictionaries. Opponent plays decently. Can handle multiple human players. Graphics are nice. You do have to scroll around using the D pad to go over the whole board, but not a huge problem. Link = http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...light=scrobble Pocket Uno = Brilliant version of Uno. Computer opponents are quite adept at beating the human player. Freeware. See below post for link. The Quest [W] = Quite simply the best fantasy RPG made for a cell phone. Amazing graphics, smooth play, immersive world, many of the same features as the hit game Oblivion (i.e. alchemy), nice skill-based and class-based system. Shareware. Link = http://www.redshift.hu/ Pocket Mille Bournes = An addictive game, I have always liked Mille Bournes and this is the best freeware version I have seen. Decent computer players with decent tactics. Pocket RackO = RackO is an amazingly simple game to learn and very difficult to master. Well done. Freeware. See below post for link. MBPokerPro = 7 card stud for the PPC. The graphics have a problem when trying to display the card faces with the suites as symbols, but they are clean when you switch to a letter and number interface (i.e. instead of a 7 of hearts showing as an actual heart shape and a 7, it shows as 7H). Good computer play, and each of the other computer players has a different personality, so you have to be able to read your opponents! Freeware. files uploaded. Re: Games for the Omnia
Marble Worlds 2
Official Website: http://www.4pockets.com/product_info.php?p=108 I installed this game prior to installing the HTC Accelerometer files and the 'tilt' didn't work. Then I installed the htc.zip files from the first post and it worked. I've attached the cab file for the demo |

Re: Games for the Omnia
Cruncher is a numbers game where you have to clear the screen by moving only higher numbers over lower ones.
Caver uses the tilt function and is basically a ball that you must guide through a series of caves. |

Re: Games for the Omnia
Pocketsand - different flowing sand drops from top of screen and can be interacted with certain elements.
Project Gotham - self explanatory |

Re: Games for the Omnia
JBlend - Install this to your storage card then soft reset
this then allows you to install Java games to your storage card instead of main memory, meaning saving space. |

Re: Games for the Omnia
DJRedLine....thanks for posting all those games...I have a couple questions though... The PocketSand game...does that work well on the Omnia? I tried that a while back on my 700wx and all it did was show the flowing sand and block out the rest of the device, causing a reset.
Do you know a good source of java games? I did the JBlend install, but don't have any games handy (yes, I will search, but I was hoping you had a good site to start us out on ). P.S. The caver game was written by Ageye the same developer that brought us G-Alarm (fantastic alarm clock) and a few other apps, including a profile switcher he JUST started. Anyway....cager and another game he wrote (G-Invaders) alond with his other apps and support can be found at this site for all interested: http://www.ageye.de/index.php?s=caver/about |

Re: Games for the Omnia
Yeah Pocketsand does work quite well, it fits full screen with the controls on the bottom.
Most of my Java games i found either on here or on Modaco's forum. Not found any that i really keep yet though. I use G-Alarm all the time and is highly recommended. G-Invaders i have used but not installed since latest hard reset to phone. |
