Some of you guys chat such rubbish without the correct facts - the Omnia has had cooked ROMs and custom ROMS since at least August last year - how do I know this? Because I got my Omnia in early August last year and have had custom ROMs running on it ever since - check the following website if you dont beleive me as there is a massive following behind custom ROMs - http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-o...e-version-fix/
This should mean that a cooked version will be released for Omnia even if no official released from Samsung comes out ![]() |

Re: will windows mobile 6.5 make it to omnia?
T-mobile is now advertising an Omnia in the United States (don't know if it's the i910 or a variant). The person earlier who was mentioning the Omnia v2 remember it's already out in Korea (It was released about same time Verizon debuted the i910 here) my recollection was main difference was better screen resolution and 8megapixel camera. here's a link to the info

Re: will windows mobile 6.5 make it to omnia?
Are you sure it is T-Mobile advertizing it, or did you see they are callong it the T-Omnia in Korea? It is a variant of the i910. It builds from the i901 with some differences (a WVGA screen for one) It looks like the same device in another thread here where they posted this link: http://mb.softbank.jp/mb/en/product/3g/930sc/index.html
P.S. If it is the same device, it is not a WM phone. |

Re: will windows mobile 6.5 make it to omnia?
The TP, Diamond, and Omnia will not have an official upgrade to 6.5. The Omnia HD, TP2, and Diamond 2 will all be upgradeable. But not the current crop. Of course a cooked rom I'm sure will be available.

Which of the WM phones has the largest screen, similar to the Iphone? I need a new phone but all seem to have a small screen.

Re: will windows mobile 6.5 make it to omnia?
I believe that is the Omnia, but it is the same width as other 2.8 screens, just longer, or wider (WQVGA) in landscape mode.
I am looking for a larger screen, too, and the iPhone looks good, for screen size, but too crippled as far as customization goes IMO. I am a cooked ROM fan.
