Re: Omnia's main storage continues to shrink!

My Pictures is taking up a HUGE chunk of your space. I'd relocate some files I'd also uninstall your youtube application and install it to My Storage, along with the Labrynth app (game?). I see you have M2D installed too. That takes a pretty hefty chunk in itself.

I install EVERYTHING to "My Storage" but it all ends up in the device memory anyways...... and I keep the majority of my picture on my 8gb microsd with the exception of a small handful of wallpaers in the device memory. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the help!

EDIT:

Down to 24kb free! I gotta do something quick , my phone is basically non functional right now

GrandMaster...have you relocated or cleaned out your Opera cache folder? I know you mentioned cleartemp, but have you tried MemMaid? Usually this issue does get cleared-up, but it may take starting from scratch after a hard-reset.

I had Memmaid on my old 6600 a several years ago but have not tried it recently. I have cleared the old Opera cache but there wasn't much in it anyways, and have redirected the cache to My Storage. Anyways I finally gave up all hope and did a hard reset last night and started over...... no biggie.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Omnia's main storage continues to shrink!

I would still look into MemMaid....I do a cleaning every other day-or-so and sometimes I am shocked at how much is freed-up!!

Good luck with your starting from scratch....let us know how your memory stacks up with the fresh start.

Re: Omnia's main storage continues to shrink!

Probably the easiest way to decrease the size of your PIM file (IF it applies to you), you can take the caller ID images out. I know it may be a bummer if you use them, but it is a way!!

Re: Omnia's main storage continues to shrink!

Are you trying to delete the installed appzone, or just the install file VZW added to the Omnia? If it is just the file they sent you don't really need to delete it, just make sure you don't click on it by accident...that WILL install VZAppzone!!! Either way though, if you use a reg editor you should be able to track down files from the app and delete them.
