http://danbeahm.blogspot.com/2009/02...10-how-to.html It starts out with some very basic things (as easy as "Don't forget to use the Start menu drop down") and then goes up from there (how to edit the registry, many registry hacks, what tools and apps to use, etc...). Hopefully this information helps people get their Omnias functioning optimally quicker and easier! |

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean by your note: "settings in camera will still show last setting 640x480-176x144." Are you just saying that the camera will still show the three original settings on the size settings screen (640x480, 320x240, 176x144) but that 400x240 is actually in there somewhere? Or is one of those sizes now 400x240? I'm just not sure what you mean, and I'd love to use that fourth size. EDIT: I see now that when you change the size in the registry, the video recording size is set to 400x240. However, when you use the size settings within the camera, the original sizes are still your only choices. Once you make a change from within the camera settings, the only way to get back to the 400x240 size is by going back into the registry to make the change again (can't change from within the camera). I wonder if there is a way to add an icon to the size settings screen, or at least change the path for 320x240 to be 400x240? |

On a sidenote, anyone been following the WM6.5 kitchen thread here? http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...958#post740958 |
Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
Probably already mentioned, but:
http://omnia-hacks.com/touchflo2d-omnia.html Touchflo2d on the omnia. this isnt a skin for any launcher nor a rom with missing features, this is a set of .cab's which install the full functionality of the touchflo2d interface. works flawlessly and doesnt lag at all on mine! |
Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
When I used that Thread message view increase, my reply button died and I couldn't send texts at all I had to hard reset my phone to get it back
|
Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
I can't imagine how that file would have affected that. All it does is increase the text box size you type into. For future reference, delete the file next time, a hard reset is way overkill.

HKCU/Software/Samsung/Camera if you change PictureSize to 26197 you can now take 400x240 pictures.
Note* Camera will now show 400x240 as setting, if changed you will have to activate it through registry again. here is a pic with this setting (nice for wallpapers) |

Nice work! Any idea how to get 5MP panoramic shots? |
Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
How I would love to be able to do that.
|
Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
If the TP can do we should be able to correct? I just cannot find the value in the registry to change it. Any ideas anyone?
|
Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
I must be missing something here...are we still talking about the panoramic shot post? There is the option for panoramic shots in the camera settings, and it works pretty well, so I think I am missing an important piece of info on what is being asked about.
|
Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
if in fact we could get it to 5mp mode while in panorama, the output based on available ram could be anywhere from 15MP-40MP.
assuming the omnia could handle stitching multiple 5MP images in the first place. this is also a guess due to the fact that I do not know how much of the image is chopped for the stitch. (OR IF THE OMNIA CAN HANDLE IT) I have been able to get smoother fps/bitrate in 640x480 camcorder mode. I will post updates on this soon when I have something a bit more solid. |
