Thanks again!

RESCO costs, but with the new (relatively) finger-friendly format it is perhaps the easiest to learn and use!!

Just incase anyone is a little retarded like me:
To disable the 'data connection bubble' from popping up each time you connect simply go to settings>personal>sounds and notifications>notifications> Connection established

then uncheck display message on screen.

I'm sure most people figured this out but I had to search :newb:

I came across this thread http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1467857 related to the Omnia's battery life - from what most users are posting, the phone shipped with a crap battery (model ending in 31) and either went to the store or called and a new battery (ending in 20) was substantially better. (I don't own one, but hope to in a few months - so I have not experienced this myself)

I'm in the same boat as Adrynalyne...I think I can run about 3 days without a charge....of course that is without any exessive use (games, music....) normal usage without skimping I think I can get about 2 days use. I just with the battery guage apps an work with the Omnia....the only way we can get a good idea is to open settings and see.

Here is a little CAB that apparently allows you to change the colors + text in the system bars...I don't use it, but if you try it, please report back with results for other interested parties.

For SPB Mobile Shell users using a different SMS app:

SOLUTION TO REMAP SMS AND CALLLOG-BUTTON TO USER DEFINED PROGRAMS

SMS-Button:

Open your favorite registry editor and go to "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\RAI\:MSINBOX" and change the value "1" from "tmail.exe" to the path of the program you wanna launch. And do not forget to set the " " ! For example:

"My Storage\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"

Save and your done, the SMS button on the main screen of spb mobile shell should now launch VITO SMS Chat.

CallLog-Button:

Go to your windows folder on your phone and copy the file CallLog.exe to another directory, just for backup purpose. Open the attached file CallLog.run with any texteditor you have. Change the path inside to the program you wanna open with the CallLog button. No " " this time. Save and copy it with the also attached file CallLog.exe to your windows folder on your phone. Overwrite the existing CallLog.exe, ignore the warnings. Should work now.

No Solution for calendar yet and i dont use the mail button .

Tested on Samsung Omnia with german WM 6.1.

I tried the reghack, although I don't use SPB. It remapped my Email button instead, LOL. But hey, I am one step closer than I was before ;)

It remapped your email button? That is unusual!! On mine The first icon is for email + MMS, the second is for SMS the third is call log + VM, and then the task manager/favorites. When I did the tweak, it didn't work for the first hour, and then all of a sudden started working. Now everytime I hit that second icon I get PocketCM.

If your using Shell and mapping a texting app to it, you should be OK. What text app are you using?
