That is the best I got as well, I haven't seen anything like what you mentioned, but the config page listed above has a LOT of selections, so if you look closely you may find something...let us know if you do, it may come in useful in the future!

now that you brought this up (flash). What good is it if 2.1 is not enabled and you can't see flash sites anyway? enlighten me please.

2.1 is used for the OS, not the browsers.

Ok. Cool. so the enabling of flash is so that the the site can be accessed by to OS - not to show images by the browser. Correct?

If so, does anyone know when this will ever come to the Omnia? I say a thread about Skyfire, but I am not familiar with this browser and do not know how it compares to Opera or IE. I would have thought for sure that flash would have come with the phone that does everything. Darn.

Re: Memory Issues

There is Flash 7 in a cab floating around that works. Obviously for not all things, and maybe only for PIE. Flash Lite 3.1 covers some other things, but breaks the widgets in the Samsung Widgets today plug-in. Skyfire doesn't really support flash. It simply does ALL of the rendering on the server side, where it is supported, and delivers it back to the client (you). Maybe not efficient, or elegant, but pretty darn genius, if you ask me.

So there is nothing that we can do until Samsung gets off their cheeks and makes it happen....

Depending on the board, you read so many rumors about what the "often rumored, but nevre confirmed" firmware update for the VZN Omnia will do. I have read it will enable flash in some threads. I would just like to get an update period.

A simple soft-reset will usually help you out drastically....especially if your memory is that low

I keep calling and checking for the update!! Samsung tells me the carrier is responsible for releasing and VZW reps tell me they don't hear anything about it untill the actual release!!!!

Crossing fingers!!!
