I have the Verizon i910. I found that the Verizon Appzone was downloading stuff unbeknownst to me. I never used the program, so I deleted it and it freed about 25 mb of device memory.

foryoazz....welcome to the community!!!! You stumbled on one of the biggest glitches on the VZW Omnia (besides the soon to be released GPS)....VZ Appzone is BAD BAD BAD!!!! Do NOT install it, delete every trace of it...it will cause a lot more issues than just losing memory space!!!!!!

For some reason I don't have an option in Memmaid to move the PIE cache even with "Advanced" enabled. I have succesfully moved the Opera cache using the opera:config method. How do I change PIE to cache to My Storage?

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I finally found the setting. - Under Applications Cache in Memmaid. Was looking in the wrong place.

lazer9....in moving the PIE cache, keep an eye out for PIE crapping out on you. It may be more stable on My Memory than on a memory card, but in relocating the cache file on other devices, PIE has been known to crash and need to be set back. PIE's cache is a lot scaller than Opera's though and with the occasional cleaning (and using Opera PIE will probably not be used as much as on other devices) you shouldn't have as many memory issues as Opera causes!

Okaaaayy. So are you indicating that by moving the cache to the 8g storage that there are going to be more problems with Opera? I have not tried the fix yet. I am not seen a hoard of people saying that they have tried it and are enamored. A little clarification if you please.

He is saying that Personal IE, PIE, may not be stable with the cache being moved to Storage. He was also mentioning that Opera's cache gets huge, and therefore really needs to be moved, so it doesnt cause memory issues (eat your main memory).

Right, sorry for the confusion...they are two totally different apps PIE (Pocket's version of Internet Explorer) and Opera. Adrynalyne explained it better as far as whick/why to move cache files!! (I still suggest a good cleaning app though :-) )

Thank you both for the clarification. Much appreciated. I am going to try the opera:conig suggestion later tonight. maybe you two can help me with a problem that may be fixable while I am in the configure mode.

Sometimes, some of the sites I go to have a WMV attached to them. They should, in theory, play automatically. Sometimes they do. More often they don't.

While in the config mode are there some memory settings that I should tweak as well so that the media player can appropriate buffer the initial downloads?

Any settings, hints or tips would be great. Thanks.

I have no idea there, sorry. Do make sure you enable the flash plugin, though.
