Re: Samsung Today 2 screen?

There is no need to install a cab file. The program it loads will only take up space. Samsung Today 2 is already on our phones, it's just hidden so you can't use it. Import the Samsung Today 2 reg edit file (or perform the explained reg edit) from the post below, do a soft reset, and Today 2 will be an available option on your today menu. No need to waste space on your device.

Re: Samsung Today 2 screen?

I installed this reg file and it worked just great. I now have Samsung Today 2 selected on my phone. However, when I select "Settings" they are all greyed out except "Motion" and "Phone" and even they do nothing when I press them. Is this true for anyone else? I'm not sure if it's something in my setup or just the VZW has disabled something else.

Notice the lock on the settings button. Touch it and it will unlock and allow you to make changes. Either touch it again or navigate away and it will relock.

To use it edit the registry to add a new Today item. I found it easiest to just duplicate the settings for "Samsung Today". The only difference is that the dll should be secst.dll rather than minitoday.dll.

I renamed Samsung Today to Samsung Today 1 and added Samsung Today 2.

Now both will show up under Settings - Today
Maybe I'm a complete idiot. The instructions seem to be so easy but for the life of me I can't seem to duplicate the Samsung Today folder. This is my VERY FIRST registry edit using CE and my Omnia is only 24 hours old. I don't wanna screw this up. Can someone break this down for me just a little bit further? Thanks a lot.

Re: Samsung Today 2 screen?

Ok, duh! After staring at the program for so long I finally figured out that the buttons to create the string values and Dword was right in front of my face. Thanks Adrynalyne for your patience with me.

Re: Samsung Today 2 screen?

I tried Phm and was unable to import anything. So I manually added the values on two different Omnias and never got it to work. Can anyone confirm or deny that phm is junk?

I was reading through this, tried phm....couldn't get it to install.
Saw the post about CERegEditor..... where can I get that? Just google search? Does it work with WinMobile 6.1? Same thing?
Thanks
