Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Wow...Do you have any third party PIM app your using (VITO, PocketCM....)? Did you try a text before installing anything after the flash? You may want to try a hard reset and see if you can recieve any. As a last result, maybe a re-flash could be in order.

You may want to post this over in the ROM thread as well, maybe someone has dealt with this before and have a better answer for you.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

If I think of something else I will let you know, but other than trying a text without SPB on it, I don't know what else it could be. I think posting in the ROM thread may be the best idea at this point.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Hello all. I am a new Omnia user and I have been spending a lot of time tweaking my device. I have run into a problem I cannot seem to fix though:

I tried the registry hack for changing the default SMS to VITO's SMSChat. This worked well and I like VITO's SMSChat. However, in SPB whenever I open email it starts the default WM interface, and then when I go back to the SPB screen and open SMS it goes back to WM's default text messaging handler.

I like to use email on my phone, and I don't like the standard WM SMS handler.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Hey, I installed SRS WOW HD .cab and when I go to settings and try to open up the SRS WOW I get "There is no WOW HD driver loaded. The control panel will now exit." Any ideas on how I can fix this so I can enable the program? Thanks!

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Hey guys quick question... Are all emails and text messages stored in the device memory? If they are how do I automatically store them in my storage.

as far as I have ever seen there is not a way to do this. A ton of ways out there to backup your sms. Maybe someone else knows a fancy way to get it to mystorage.

Question for you... why redirect the save location to mystorage? Texts and emails dont take up that much room (I have thousands and never had memory problems). And if you have alot of email attachments you can have those auto save to mystorage. If its just a issue of backing up everything google search for that. There are alot of solutions.

You can save your emails to My Storage by editing the registry...

Code:
HKLM\System\Inbox\Settings

PropertyPath: \My Storage\Mail
AttachPath: \My Storage\Mail\Attachments

the property path being the location of the email header and body?
