ok. thanks. i will start looking at custom roms. im not running out yet. the left memory is always hovering around 30-40 mb left. the right memory stays around 50mb left unless im running several things at once.
The new roms are defently the way to go and after the first time you will notice alot of improvements if done right. The stock rom is not really that bad but there is limited memmory on the phone and you will only use a fraction of whats on the phone. But to get those off you might nedd to try unlees sombody already said is either total comander or resco explorer. Go to the options and settings and make sure to get all the permissions that you can. If you do that you should be able to delete any thing you see. Or go in through the somputer after making the phone into a input device pr what ever make it come up as a drive letter instead idk if that that will work but resco is a free trial and total comander is free. I use resco and have almost not limitations.
sounds like a custom rom would be easier i am VERY techno challenged. my buddy ,Dave, who helps me out on my desktop says im worse to it than a virus so im VERY apprehensive about crashing my phone

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

As long as you follow the instructions, you'll be fine. The most important thing I can tell you is that you MUST disable USB connections in ActiveSync.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

nFiniti...can you tell me a little more about your device? From your profile I am seeing a Touch Pro, but assuming your asking about the i910 Omnia, I was wondering if your on a custom ROM/which one, or what third-party apps you have installed (sometimes you get bad combinations of apps that cause issues).

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Stock rom. Stock apps. i910. Its not my phone. ITs a friends. They were never into the moding like we are. IT should be a slightly used stock Omnia with contacts and some video's and crap like that on the storage disc. Thats it.

All I know is he said he pressed the power button to pull it from sleep to make a phone call and the screen didn't turn on, and thre were no lights but he could hear the sounds. Then he did a soft reset to try to recover from it and it never turned back on. I've tried other batteries that are confirmed to work. I've tried plugging it to the charger without battery and with. USB doesn't do a thing. My other friends Omnia loads right up on the pc. This omnia does not. Its just a paper weight.

Also I've tried doing a master reset but not sure if I'm doing it right. Holding Snd and End and press the reset button. I've held the reset button... and other ways.

Have you tried doing a hard reset using the pinhole at the top of the unit?
  1. Press reset pin button ONCE (do not hold)
  2. Once you see the Samsung Omnia appears on the screen, immediately press the SEND and END key simultaneously
  3. Then the screen appears asking you whether you are sure to format
  4. Press SEND to format or END to cancel
(per Ishak at Modaco) good luck!

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Hey guys, i can't find my "Input" settings anymore. It's typically under Settings > Personal but there's no Input option there anymore. Is there a way to get it back?

P.S. I'm using a ROM based on 23053
