With Microsoft's history of releasing perfect Operating Systems in round 1 right out of the box, I'd personally wait for everyone else to fix the bugs in the OS before spending money and resources on their software.

I've been an IT Manager in a Windows shop for over 10 years. I never upgrade to their latest OS right away.

Re: Would you get this phone or the wait for Winmo7?

Some of the problems with win7 upgrade will be that there will be spec'ed hardware for it.
the O2 may well be able to run it, but if MS locks it down to a zune-like app store, it will be like starting over.
a win7 like skin will more than likely be all there will be out there until someone cracks it.
I, like others am sitting on waaaaay too much winmo software to abandon just yet

Re: Would you get this phone or the wait for Winmo7?

Don't forget that samsung will be releasing a wm6.5 phone that will be upgraded to wp7 which for me means better wait. I love samsung phones and use the original omnia for verizon but also contemplating if to get omnia 2 or just wait for a new one.

I have to send my 6800 back, but I've had it for two years and I see no reason to keep it with this phenominal phone anymore.
Same here, I was seven months away from my "new every two" and I just ordered an omnia2 through their website for free. When I was done, I had saved $299.99 according to the checkout page. Thanks Verizon!

Re: Would you get this phone or the wait for Winmo7?

I wont be upgrading from my Omnia II to a WM7 phone until all the apps I currently can't live without make the transition over. Besides, with no cut, copy, paste functionality and WM7 looking more and more like a closed OS similar to iphone I'll take a pass for a while. 6.5 has been a huge step forward from 6 and 6.1
