Re: HOW TO ROOT A SAMSUNG MOMENT Thread (help me find out)

I have to throw out there that although the layout of the Moment is a little odd, the action (feel of the keys) is far superior to any other I have used...especially compared to the TP.

That's a bit off topic for this thread.

Re: HOW TO ROOT A SAMSUNG MOMENT Thread (help me find out)

This looks promising: http://www.androidworld.it/2009/08/0...-galaxy-i7500/

The Galaxy apears to be identical minus the sliding keyboard, anyone want to try it cause mine is a work phone and if I brick it its my a$$ and my job.

I know I read something somewhere about finding a fastboot mode on the Moment, it might have been on androidforums.com . If I can find it again, I'll post it here.

Also when I press all three buttons in addition to the volume down button the phone will reboot in a loop loading the Samsung (SPL?) logo. When the buttons let go it boots right up into android. Maybe that is fastboot?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11) Sprint Treo850e)

Pull the battery.

Put it back in.

Hold the Talk, Center and End buttons. Diagnostics menu... maybe this helps.

I am not around my device to play with that option right now.

We already know about the diagnostics menu. What we are trying to find/get is fastboot

I didn't see a mention of that in this thread... however, I was quickly browsing via my Treo, thought I'd share some info. Won't happen again...
