Install this program, Samsung PC Studio 3, linked below.
After install, the program will open. Make sure under Settings it is set to Not Auto Load at startup.
For safe measure, you can restart Windows. Turn the phone off. Turn phone on by holding volume down + camera + power on and it will load into Download mode. Connect it to the computer. Windows should automatically recognize the device and start loading the drivers (which were installed previously by Samsung PC Studio).
Note: Samsung PC Studio must be closed and not running in the background, Task Manager can be used end its process.

i put my sdk on the main part of my C:
the easiest way so you dont have to keep retyping would be:
cd "drive letter":/"android sdk folder"/tools
so on my comp i would do
Code:
cd C:/Android/tools
Which will put you in the tools folder instead of the main windows user folder

So it would now look like
Code:
C:\Android\tools
From there you would be able to type the commands in the tutorial

I'm terrible at giving directions, so let me know if you need anything further and i will do as best i can

once you get adb installed and understand how to access it through the dos prompt, follow the directions posted earlier in this thread for temporary root.

adb shell will be the main command you run from the dos prompt inside the android-sdk/tools directory.
