WM 6.5 is Official.....Yet not available - Page 4

well as much as i disagree with you....i'm not going to argue...this thread if for those of us that are excited about the release no need to try and rain on our parade

Arnt the Touch Pro2's gonna be released in store loaded with 6.5? I read that somewhere so I would think with Sprint we should see the update on the 6th hopefully.

Man, I am glad I am no the only nut case out there! I woke up this morning thinking "Yea! 5 more days!" and won't say it out loud 'cause everyone in my house is already tired of hearing about phones!

lol i don't consider myself a nutcase but i definitely feel where you are coming from. Everybody on this site should be excited in one way or another

LOL. That's great. My friends were already tired of me talking about the Touch Pro 2 all summer right up til the release and then talking about it with it actually in my hand!

The only reason I'm expecting Sprint to have it available on Oct 6th is because I read an article about how Microsoft is trying to make this a synchronized launch and getting the carriers on board so that 6.5 is released on Oct 6th at the same time.

I'll see if I can find the article. But I hope this holds true! If none of the carriers are releasing updates on Oct 6th, then is it really a "launch" for Microsoft?

Hmmm...

It's obvious the carriers have already gotten their hands on WM 6.5. There wouldn't be a reason for them not to release it on the 6th with all these new devices that are being launched on the 6th with 6.5. That would really suck if it's only a microsoft launch. Good news is cmonex seems to have finished the hard-spl and just needs to tweak some things because of the new radio so worst case scenario we will have 6.5 real soon

i have also read that msoft is pushing the "synchronized" launch of 6.5. and with the imagio shipping on the 6th with 6.5 i think it only strengthens the hope that verizon will release the rom on the 6th as well, just as the op says.

and like magoo_215 said, when the tp2's hit the stores they will be loaded with 6.5...so even more chance will get it on the 6th.

i am stoked for it, but also more stoked for the hardspl. i'd love to see both on the same day! i am not sure what i would do, probably just sit motionless in aw...

I'm going to throw my 2 cents in on this...I am hoping myself for the update on the 6th, but more for this...When VZW released the R1 update for the Omnia 1 awhile back, it unlocked the phone allowing users to flash custom roms. I am wondering, myself, if that may hold the same for the VZW TP2. Just my anxious thoughts.

I doubt Sprint will be releasing an update to the Touch Pro2 on the 6th.

But hopefully soon after.
