WM 6.5 is Official.....Yet not available - Page 16

Will this be something we can download and do ourselves or will we need to go to a VZW store? My last phone was a Voyager and I had to bring it into the store for ROM upgrades.

well from what i remember last time i had to do an official rom update, i took the phone to the store to update.... but i think you can download and activesync the phone and updated that way..

i remember taking it to the store since i never sync my phones.

so you may just get an email from sprint or who ever else telling you the update is available with instruction to the update.

Here's the article regarding Microsoft announcing that they've signed Sprint up for the synchronized launch on Oct 6th.

I've seen that but the way I read it, it seems to mean that each carrier will have some sort of release on the 6th (meaning a new phone with 6.5 loaded on it, etc)...I do not read it as saying specifically the ROM for the TP2 will be ready...

I read that too around mid September, I just hope Sprint doesn't delay the new upgrade is all.

I wouldn't be a bit suprised if the TP2s in the Sprint store came with 6.5 already on them
