Also noticed that when typing, the auto-correct function does not work.

For example, in the stock AKU 2 ROM, I would type 'dont' and when i hit space or period, it would change to 'don't'. When I try this in a cooked ROM from the kitchen with no OEMs added, the apostrophe is not added correctly.

Other examples

i --> I
didnt --> didn't
etc...

Am I the only one with this problem?

I have also noted that the NOID has issues with leaving threads open. I have OFTEN had to reboot, or logoff/logon to clear them during flashes.

Indeed I long ago quit using the NOID. You will find the kitchen also includes the RomUpgrade*.exe file. That is the SPRINT flash utility, and i have had far better luck/consisten result using that.

Indeed it has the additional advantage in that it has just enough smarts to get the phone into bootloader mode 60-70% o the time.

Anyone with this issue?

You need to change settings in active sync. click start, programs, active sync, menu, options, highlight email and click settings. change settings of "limit email size" to "all". This should take care of your problem.

Basically, if you take a legitimate project file from your carrier image and use that for all your nbf encodes, you never need the NOID utility. You could also just set the Operator Name and Language manually, SPCS_001/WWE for sprint, etc. I always use the official sprint loader myself.

Why?

If I wanted it to resemble the default ROM then why use anything other than the defaul ROM? Doesnt it resemble itself already?

Perhaps if you formed a valid argument then supported that argument with logic and reason people would be a bit more receptive to idea's.

Good find on the WSONB(White Screen of Non-Birth ). I had associated this in the past with a full rom, but that was just a guess.

lets move the typing and word correction issues over to the "possible or known 3.5 issues".

Could be any number of things, but we'll down-priority them while we persue the btpan. Dont want the "forgotten" though.

I believe the speeddial cab fix is indeed the same file and infrastructure that colonel has been using with his SmartDialer.

I propose that we just move over to his version of the smartDialer released, becaues it also uses consistent color schemes, and includes this correction for the speed-dial.

That's why I posted the issue...I noticed it and forgot about it until this morning, so I just threw it on the board. Going to the issues thread to post now!

It's a setting - did you enable the setting? Start Setting Input... maybe it was enabled by default or by an OEM before?
