I don't even know if this is workable, but from a dev standpoint, i'd limit the devs and consider starting a fund if their 6700's are their primary phones. I know it puts a damper on some of the time I put in when I can only work during hours I know i'm not going to be planning on receiving calls. Maybe you can get some cheap refurbs or something.

evilgenius,

I've thought about using the board's chat feature to that end. I imagine it will come in handy when issues need to be addressed in real time. And yes, I'll add you to the QA tester list.

psiphi,
While compatibility testing may be something that is specifically tackled later, I'm sure that functionality testing will uncover defects that will ultimately be attributed to third party applications. These will be documented as such and included in the release notes. Once we are at a point where we are servicing the released ROM, it's quite likely that we will begin working on validating 3rd party app compatibility.

isamu49,
Your idea has merit, however, the board admin has made it clear that money can't be involved. No one has yet brought up the issue that you mentioned, so I think we're okay for now.

muscle1,

We're pretty loaded now with QA testers, however, you're welcomed to take part in the Beta when it's released.

Polargoat,

Drop a message to Sogarth and MrHappy about your ability to host. They are the build managers and will be able to coordinate with you!

Thanks for your help!
