this is an exe that runs on top of your today screen and can be used all the time... i did not write this little app i got from mike who found it HERE... i just customized the buttons/images/links etc...

QVGA ONLY 240x320 resolution (sorry Treo users)
WORKS ON TITAN/MOGUL/6800 and TOUCH/VOGUE/6900 .. can be easily modified for 6700

requires apps ...

And when u get missed call/email/sms you get an ! point in a red circle and the count replaces the words "Phone" "SMS" or "Email"

HOW TO ADD MORE PAGES!!!

first thing you need to do is create a Config2.txt (number corresponds to page)

then follow the same way steps to assign links...

now in Config.txt(what page1 calls) for the 12th button it needs to look like this...

\Windows\Notes.exe ---opens notes
\Windows\clock.exe --- opens clock
\windows\settings.lnk ---opens settings (doesnt work for us)
Page2 --- Switches to page 2
\Windows\vtkey.exe ---etc
\Windows\tmail.exe ---etc
\Windows\tmail.exe--- etc
\Windows\wmplayer.exe---etc

just the bottom few lines so u know where im pulling from u get the point

Install Instructions for the N00bers

To install a program (thanks sagamoredad)

1. Download the zip
2. Extract the .cab file
3. Copy the cab file to your phone
4. Run the cab file and install it to main memory
5. Click OK, yes etc.
6. Look in program files and run "iphone" program.
7. Done
8. Enjoy

Now that we know how to install and app (cab file)

1.Install the Required Applications listed above *if you dont want palm threader - read below
2.Install the Grumps iphone theme by Wow in this post
3.Go to Start/Programs/and tap the iphone icon
4.Check to make sure all buttons work
5.enjoy

*to use regular sms
1.follow all steps above minus testing that button clearly it wont work
2.exit out of the iphone theme
3.go to start\programs\iconfig
4.locate the sms button (should be bottom row 2nd column)
5.in the path line change it to "\Windows\tmail.exe" do NOT include the quotes
6.tap ok
7. reopen the iphone theme and test her out

I would love to know what changes need to be made to work on a 6700, please do tell

Calculator === \Windows\Calc.exe

thats all... these can be changed via the config.exe or the config.txt manually

I installed the cab is there something else I have to do its not coming up. I do have the config button but thats it

u dont have the iphone.exe file in the start/programs menu?

Sorry let me do that again. everything works except for the slide lock. I cant seem to find the map for it

u have the app installed? if u have it installed then it will work


keep in mind after install u need to mind that u need to run the ilock2.exe 1 time first b4 the slide2unlock can run

I will test this on my XV6700 later on tonight on a clean ROM.

BTW: WoW on the real iPhone there is a mini iTunes player (i believe it is called pPod) that will play the *m4p files from iTunes. Is there a way to play that the WM software?

i dont want to put apps that r uncommon or pricey in my first skin i can make custom skins if people would like...

its okay, you still need a black theme or WA blacked out theme for when you open apps..

and applications opening seems kinda slow as they open like square blocks filling the screen..

ya i agree... but hey its WAYYYY better than having to install all the other apps that will slow the whole phone down soooo bad... this is really nice clean look that can be turned on and off as you please

Very nice WOW. Thanks for the post. It works beautifully on my 6700 after the changes in iconfig. i do have one question. In the iconfig it show that there can be multiple config pages. How can I add another page?

will this show you how many new emails, sms or missed calls?

dont get me wrong imma keep up with the development on this app because its a clean contender for ridding of the WA and WAD.

i just wanna see the opening of apps be a little more fluid.

i dont have any problems change the settings in the iphone.txt

maybe you will change it to make it more fluid

This is a very cool apps. I really like the fact that we can have the "ifone" experience without having to purchase applications.

One questions - is there a way of mapping the contact application to the default windows one?

this is a very nice app. one question though, when i click on an icon to open the file or program like when i click on internet, before the program launches it closes one icon at a time and it takes like 10 seconds for the program to actually load.

is there any way that i could speed this up?

map it to

\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Contacts.lnk

make sure u dont have contact manger installed or this wont work...

it should not be doing this... check the iphone.txt and change Speed= to 0 or 1...

0 should disable this
and 1 should make it basically gone... maybe 0 doesnt work on wm5 phones bc it doesnt do this on mine...

i just tried version 0.986 i think it is.. i downed from xda, its got alot of icons packaged and a "more screen", adn the icons disspear in a pattern by defualt.

you guys should try that and its compatible with alot of default apps on the apache, they even include a ringtone

this is version .986 i just made mine a cab i hvae all the files as well i posted that link in the first post in this thread...

and i turned off the disappearing icons in this one so the apps would load quicker... thanks tho

This runs VERY smooth, I'm impressed! I may actually remove my WA2 and run just this...

u can get icon packs form the link in the first post to xda... download .986 and extra icons thats like 5 pages of icons

I've been doing some digging on this... It seems as though each page needs it's own config, like Config2.txt, config3.txt, etc...

However, I'm not sure yet how the page switching goes.. I'm going to create a config2.txt and see what happens :)...

I'll keep everyone posted...

I found what I was going wrong with the Page2 thing.. If you don't have all items populated in the text file, it will error out... So I had to fill it with blank icons...

Issue with the APP
 

This app is amazing, so clean looking. I have an issue though. When the app is running, and i click on the contacts icon, it tells me that the .lnk cant be found. I have contact manager installed on my device, so i dont know why it wont open, also get the same error when trying to open windows live. I tried using the iconfig program to edit my icon pathways, but when i browse for files to use, the field does not populate with .exe or .lnk files. Can you tell me how to configure the icons so i can get these programs running, Thanks! :?

Hi, I am from India and I am using PPC6700 on CDMA network here. Will this skin work for us. Just checking before downloading and what are the changes to be done, if any. I am using the new AKU 3.5 ROM on WM5.

it should work fine for you... just make the changes listed on the first page for the 6700 and your set


depending on where you got the contactmananger cab you have installed would mess this up...you can use the iconfig application to figure out whre the ContactManager.exe is located... now on the other hand live search should work perfectly assuming you have it installed.
