Help with step 3
There is a section that tells you to tap and hold the main screen somewhere in blank space. A menu should pop up with options like new, page, reload page and so on. Click on Theme manager, click Desktop Theme. I am doing this and nothing is happening? Any suggestions? Maybe I did something wrong? I have the tmobile MDA (HTC Wizard)

Thanks so much Maxi! I was still seaching finding a way to do when you posted your reply. Worked perfect! The parameter thaty worked was %unread:yahoo!%. Thanks again!
To the last question, make sure your have WAD loaded. You can't hold down on the blank screen and get the extra options if the program isn't loaded. So goto-programs and make sure you have WAD running. |

Thanks for the response, I reinstalled wad and now I get the menu with theme manager.
My next dilemna is that he says after this step I should have the iphone theme. I dont. All I have is a background with different hues of blue. Any suggestions on this one? |

tigreyes, I'll get to your question in a bit as it relates to my experience installing this package...
but for those just tuning in, let's clarify what WAD and WA2 do. WA2, or Wisbar Advanced 2, is responsible for controlling the bar at the top.. it has its own file folders inside your Program Files. This nice piece of software also skins your Start panel. WAD, or Wisbar Advance Desktop, controls the actual desktop. It also has its own file folders, and also creates a Themes folder where you can place all your themes as lazyboy explained in his README (for all of you who skimmed over that.. you are probably having problems right about now.. lol). Sometimes WAD will quit out and WA2 will stay in operation. I'm not sure if this next step is a bug, but when that happens to me, I usually quit out all background tasks through WA2 (sometimes even WA2 stays open when it should close..lol), if necessary exit WA2 through its own "exit" command. Then restart WA2 and it all should open right up. Now, on to tigreyez's question... It seems like you've done everything correctly if you see the blue screen. You should have installed your portrait, and landscape folders inside of /Themes/Desktop If you have the blue screen, what that means is that the theme file cannot find the background. If you have installed WAD and the Themes Ccorrectly, then when you hold your stylus down to get a context menu it should read: Code:
New> ------------------------ Page> ------------------------ Reload Page Author Mode Theme Manager Settings Where are your icons??? Well, you might need to load them all yourself one by one. The different hues of blue i'm assuming is all of your icons with missing images all layered over each other. I could be wrong. Here's a tip that I just discovered and it should be in the README if it's not (ok ok.. I skimmed too...).. if you hold down the stylus on the desktop, and go to the Page> menu, you can uncheck the Lock Items option.. mine were locked by default. When you unlock them you should be able to drag your icons around! |

Hey u up above me
No, the different hues of blue are just hues of blue. Not buttons. The blue background just has a bit of a design in it.
My menu that I get when I tap/hold a blank area of my screen is different. It shows the following: New ---------------- Show Todaybar Full Screen Lock Items Align Items ---------------- Wallpaper ---------------- Reload Skin Theme Manager Settings Pinned Items Properties Now, I thought that it was just a simple matter of me going ahead and clicking the theme manager I saw in the menu and not stressing over the fact that I didnt have to click through page first. When I go here, I dont see where I have an option of choosing a portrait theme and a landscape theme....I am sure I am missing something but I only see where I can highlight one of the themes. Then my only other option is to create, delete or exit out of the window so I am not even sure if what I've just selected is saved. The only other thing that I feel I've done differently than lazy's instructions is that I already owned a copy of Wisbar Advanced and WAD so instead of using the CAB he gave me I just used my own. I have WisBar Advance Version 2.6.0.8 Beta. I think that is everything. Hope this helps u understand better my problems. Oh yeah, I do have Verizon up there but I know it can be changed...I am just mentioning everything because that will better help people troubleshoot. Also my bar at the bottom of my screen is gone and the bar at the top is black. Start Button is gone. |

I have both the current versions from their website.. and i just registered them because the trials ran out on me.
It was $20 so i figured why not.. I was going to go out tonight to one of my friends' bookings at a night club but that would've set me back double those $20 worth in drinks. So instead of partying in a snooty club somewhere in L.A. I'm getting a pizza, tinkering with my iPhone.. oops, i mean Mogul, and the girl is bringing Season 2 of Battlestar Galactica over.. i call that a win-win situation Anyway, check out the attachments for some screenshots of my set-up, as well as what my template picker looks like.. notice the tabs at the bottom? Upgrade your software if you can and if it's worth it for you... with these small software companies you should still be able to use older serials if you had purchased in the past, but I'm not entirely sure. Let me know if the same problems persist and I'll just backup my files, then wipe my device clean of the theme and try to emulate your setup to get some answers for you.. but as it is, our versions might be a bit too different to tell. Sidenote.. if anyone saw my screenshots, FreewayBuddy is my company so this Mogul is what you call a write-off! Check it out and buy some shirts, please! |

Hey maxi could you please post that cool Sprint logo you have. And how you fit (in what order) the icons at the top to fit everything at the top.
I am using just the yellow sprint/nextel icon. But yours look better |

It is still me and I am about to cry
Hi Max and others-
Max, the last screen shot you sent showing the theme manager - my theme manager is a little bit different than yours. Here is how the listing of my themes look: Desktop themes currently in \Themes\Desktop default default_landscape iPhone Black iphone_black_landscape Lakeridge_QVGA Lakeridge_QVGA_Landscape Lakeridge_VGA Lakeridge_VGA_Landscape The only buttons I have at the bottom or create and delete. I do not have the new and import buttons. I also do not have the portrait and landscape tabs and I do not have the new and cancel options in the bar at the bottom. Would this have something to do with WAD because I am guessing this is a WAD screen. Any suggestions? Thanks, Deidre Okay, I upgraded both softwares and now I get the same options as you but now my screen is completely black. Maybe I should just erase everything and start all over? |
