Re: Dialpads...post yours

Update to earlier post...

Restored phone from last night's backup using Sprite Backup, and the dialer screen is still completely white. The Phone menu still has the Smart Dialing Options shown, so apparently Smartdialer is not overwritten by a full restore.

Can anyone lend a hand here? At this point I can only dial using contacts - cannot dial using keypad.

Thanks in advance,
Spencer

Re: Dialpads...post yours

Well - installing one of zombienexus' WM6 skins brought the dialer screen back, but the HTC SmartDialer doesn't work.

Oh well. Maybe I'll try again after updating the ROM in mine.

Thanks,
Spencer

No worries. I'm just resourceful enough to find solutions in these situations.

Any suggestions for a stable ROM update?

Re: Dialpads...post yours

I would like to see more dialpads out there for CDMA phones!! Seems like all of the iPhone vesions and other really cool looking ones don't work right for CDMAs. Either they don't have smart dial (which actually, I could care less, but a lot of people seem to use it), don't make 911 calls, don't do Sprint's programming menu, or completely freeze up when you switch back and forth between the dialpad and call status screen during a call. (There is nothing more frustrating than having to soft reset your phone everytime you call your voicemail) WTF? Anyone got any suggestions??

Re: Dialpads...post yours

heres the latest im playing with THANKS TO DxC at xda! We can finnally have a working iphone dialpad. Been playing with it on my sprint cdma touch and everything is peachy so far, even landscape.

I installed the earth v3.zip (not v3.5)
Then copied over the blue keypad patch files to /windows/ and reset

Ive already created my own custom cab to include the patch files, and i plan on doing some personal graphic enhancements for myself only.

Heres the thread for the dialpad
