Re: How to: Replace WM Splash/Boot Screen
FOR YOU GUYS HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING THE .PNG FILE TO THE WINDOWS FOLDER----------
Here is what I did. Look at your phone while it is connected to your computer. Open up My Computer\Mobile Device (or whatever it is called). Click on the My Windows Mobile-Based Device icon. Open up the Windows folder, and drag your .png file there. Windows will allow you to replace the file (example - the welcomehead.96.png). Close the folder, remove your phone from the cable, and soft reset. You will see your startup screen when it reboots. Enjoy!!! |

Re: How to: Replace WM Splash/Boot Screen
Now for a question of my own. How can you replace the Alltel and HTC screen when you boot up the phone? I found a file called HTCABOUTLOGO.bmp in the Windows folder. Is this the HTC screen that first comes up? I should try to replace it real quick, but I don't have my programs up and running. My laptop just isn't as good as my home computer!

Re: HOWTO: Changing Windows Mobile SPLASH screen on startup
Not sure what I am doing wrong here.
1st, when I take the old file off my phone, it says it is 320 x 320 not 240 x 320. 2nd, it says it can't replace it because it is a read only file. I have resco explorer, I try to uncheck read only, hit ok or done. go back and look at the file and it is back to read only again. So what am I doin wrong here? |
