[SPB MS3] Shine Up and Show Off Your Shell! [THEMEz, TWEAKz, WALLPAPERz, WIDGz, ETC]

If you are like me and have fallen in love with SPB Mobile Shell 3 within the past few days, then this thread is for you. The ease of use and ability to customize is second to none. If you have not tried it, you can download the trial and find more info here. You will not regret it.

The purpose of this thread is to have one place for our community to come up with ideas on how we can make SPB MS3 better or personalised to our own taste. This is also a place where we can show off our stuff (similar to "Post Your Today Screen" threads) so that we can give props to whom props are due and to give others ideas on what they could do. This will be similar to Zepiii's XDA Thread that they have going, but I figured our community needed one too.

If you have something you would like to share (widgets, themes, etc.) you may post them here and if you would like me to list it in these first few postings PM me with the post # and I will edit my posts to include a link to your work. Please state what your work is and what it will do (ex. theme, widg, etc.) and if it is resolution specific (ex. VGA, QVGA, WVGA, etc.).

I have gotten a few PMs requesting this theme as QVGA/WQVGA. I'm sorry I do not really have image editing software to do it. Would someone be willing to extract the images and shrink them so that they are QVGA/WQVGA compatible? Muchos Mahalos to those that are willing. Thank you.

Many thanks from me (and my wife) is someone is able to do this. She has been on me to add this theme to her phone (Omnia) for a while now.

In Outlook 2007 on your PC, activate local holidays for your given country in tools/option/calendar options/add holidays/choose country. Sync over activesync, holidays will appear in MS3 calendar.

If you want to create another folder in that bottom right blank space:
- HKLM\Software\SPB Software House 2\SPB Mobile Shell\Menu\Root\
- Create a new key called whatever you want your new folder to be.
- Copy the contents of the 'My Shortcuts' key into the one you just created
- Change the value of the 'Text' string to be the name of the folder.

If you want to change the order of the folders:
Changing the 'Index' value changes which position in the grid the folder appears (0 is top left, 8 is bottom right). The 'Image' value will change the icon as follows:

0 = Toolbox
1 = Phone with envelope
2 = Globe
3 = Calendar
4 = Shortcuts
5 = Program Folder
6 = Camera and clapperboard
7 = Cog/Spanner

You can also rename any of the existing folders by going to that same key and changing the 'Text' string in the relevant key. You don't have to rename the key itself but may want to for consistency.

and inside there are 12 keys (folders) numbered 0 to 11, inside modify text value to whatever you want to call it.

Change key labeled 1 to your SMS Program exe file
e.g: "\Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe"
Note: Dont forget the "", they are important.

HKLM\Software\SPB Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\Menu\Root
You will see a key (folder) for each of the menus.

If you go into 'My Shortcuts' you will notice it has a DWord called Add set to true (1).
Go back up and create this same Dword in each of the other keys (folders).

Now when you go back into the menus and tap the bottom right arrow you will see you now have the 'add' options!

If you want to remove a subfolder (for example Media Player from the Multimedia menu) just go into the Multimedia key in the registry and delete the 'Media Player' key altogether.

This one is fun. I have only confirmed that it works using Outlook 2007. If someone tries this with another version Outlook and can confirm that it works, please let us know. Thank you!
