Re: droid or htc touchpro 2

I've been a WinMo user for the last 8 years but I actually think that in a year it will be a battle between Android devices and the iPhone...

again this is just my opinion but I don't think Winmo has lost sooo much ground and that trend is just going to continue.

Re: droid or htc touchpro 2

I have been a winmo user for a very long time and I have to say that I love the option of being in total control of the UI. It's something I don't ever want to give up. Yeah the PRE, iPhone, DROID and others look cool and have some cool features, but the TP2 is SOOO easy to make it exactly how you want it. I can also get an app for just about everything that the iPhone can do. As for turn by turn nav, "amAze" and others work just fine for free. Another HUGE plus is being able to actually get into the registry and file explorer just like on a pc and change every little thing to my liking, like repeating notifications and everything!!

Oh and don't forget the option of being able to overclock the processor...

Winmo - hands down...

Re: droid or htc touchpro 2

Have both....no comparison....Droid by leaps and bounds...TP2 going back. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions regarding the two.

Re: droid or htc touchpro 2

I had a touch pro two on vzw and switched to the droid recently. As far as the tp2 goes if you want a no nonsense phone email and web device you wont find one better. The voice quality and speaker phone are amazing and being winmo there are tons of awesome hacks cabs and roms out there. the kb is also the best i've ever used. The reason i switched though is because the vzw radio blows. I had ir for 30 days and dropped 7 calls. I didn' t drop that many in the past year with my last phone. that said vzw is about to roll out theyre wm6.5 update for it so if you can wait, do that because it comes with a new radio thats supposed to fix alot of the problems people were having.
The droid runs smoothe as silk is fast as hell and app support is awesome, but its email support blows. If your a professionall or just want a true push email experience look elsewhere. The droid is really a phone/toy first email device second. Web browsing is great ability to render is imediate so scrolling is very smoothe much better than tp2. All in all for me it comes down more to a preference in os then the actual phones. Haedware wise other then the kb the droid is a better performing phone. But i personally prefer the more straight forward and professional nature of winmo over android. If they were both running winmo I'd take the droid without looking back its just much faster and smoother and oddly enough I find I get much better battery life when talking or on the web then I did with the tp2.

Well I hope that helps and I appollogise for the long post and any spelling/grammer errors I typed most of this on the droid while my gf was trying on close at the pru. Let us know what you go with.

Re: droid or htc touchpro 2

If you're a professional WINMO and BLACKBERRY is the way to go. If you want a toy get the rest.

Period!

Re: droid or htc touchpro 2

have both, the droids been collecting dust for a couple months now. i use a lot of office mobile apps and biz apps that android just doesnt have yet. if i was the average user i would probably be rockin the droid but until it catches up in the business department its just not and everyday platform for me. the droid is an AWESOME device though dont get me wrong, just doesnt fit into my daily routine yet

Re: droid or htc touchpro 2

New to the TP2, had a Touch Pro since it came out then switched to a Blackberry Tour this year. Now back to Winmo cause just wasn't happy with BB's. I love the improvements made to the TP2 and its battery life is just as good as my old BB Tour. As for the Droids they are sweet but everyone I have talked to that has one isn't happy at all with the battery life.
