HTC Touch Pro2 or HTC Hero?
I've been on Sprint for a while now. My first phone was Motorola Q (WM5) which I tossed for an HTC Mogul a year later. I loved the thing, but got bored of it quickly. I had some problems with it and called up Asurion and they sent me an HTC Touch Diamond as a replacement.
It's an alright phone, but I really missed my slide out QWERTY keyboard. I just don't like touch keyboards. It's less efficient for me. Considering I send a good 3,000+ texts a month, the keyboard is a very important factor for me. The TP2 should then be an obvious choice... but after 2 years, I've grown really tired of the Windows Mobile operating system. The Hero is due out sometime in October for Sprint, so now I'm having a dilemma.
I don't know if I want the phone with a spacious QWERTY keyboard and a large resistive (yuck) touch screen, or if I want the Hero with it's 5MP camera, "cooler" OS, and the much nicer capacitive touch screen.
What do you guys think? I'm going to check out the TP2 when it's released for Sprint and then hopefully the Hero a month after and see what I like more, but the Hero seems so much nicer... I just wish it had a physical keyboard like the G1! The Hero will probably be cheaper, too. That's just a guess on my part.
