Re: Why did YOU choose the touch pro over the others?
I'm not paying for AT&T's plan, Verizon phones look overrated (Voyager, anyone), Cricket is a joke.
Sprint is failing, nonetheless I chose it because the data package was cheaper, TP was the best thing I've seen in ever that's not an iPhone (bah everyone seems to have em -_-) and I hate having a phone that everyone has. (cough Razr, '06) |

Re: Why did YOU choose the touch pro over the others?
i've been with sprint 9 years now.i chose them because i was back and forth in town(nothing illegal)and you didn't get roaming with a long distance plan.the pro was just an upgrade from the touch.

Sprint Data Plan is cheap
I was already on Sprint never owned a smartphone before, the touchpro keyboard, slick design, small size, vga screen and touchflo 3d sold me Turn-by-turn GPS service through sprint navigation included in data plan. I needed a gps anyway. |

Re: Why did YOU choose the touch pro over the others?
I like the idea of having an all in 1 device so to speak. Throw in Sprint navi as a bonus too. I use my phone as my mp3 player so the upgradeable memory was a must after coming from a Motorola Q.
Data plans are cheap. If I want FM radio I can just stream it to my phone. So, what can't this phone do really? You get so much hackability (is that even a word?) with winmo. I like being able to customize and tweak till my hearts content. Lots of "free" alternative software out there. Opera browser is pretty sweet. Battery leaves a lot to be desired but it's not a deal breaker. Just learned to deal with it. Not to mention it's wrapped in sexy hardware even though it is a little on the thick side. Nothin wrong with havin' some meat on them bones. Oh, and I can use it to make calls too |

Re: Why did YOU choose the touch pro over the others?
For me it was the VGA screen!!! After I owned the axim51v i could never go back to qvga so I waited 6 years to get a smartphone the extra memory is awesome too! gps although laggy is good enough. and the keyboard is perfection!!! it's the best phone out right now and sprint service is great in Los Angeles.
