Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

if u like the option of a hard keyboard and expandable memory, get the touch pro.
if u dont care about the keyboard or limited 4gb memory (also device memory on the diamond is much less which im sure u noticed), then stay with the diamond cause it feels sturdier in the hand.
both are excellent, just depends on ur needs

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

more onboard memory for apps, sd card slot, tv out, keyboard... what do you want? that? then get the pro. if you want no internal memory, no sd card slot, no tv out.. and no keyboard, then get the diamond.

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

Diamond - small, light, very hand and pocket friendly but limited by 4 G on card.

Pro - SD slot for more storage, keyboard but larger, heavier and feels a little flimsy.

I ended up liking the Diamond over the pro, due to size and weight.

I believe (and i could stand corrected) that they have come up with a solution for the tv out issue for the diamond..

As far as a few other things you've stated, true, but you also gain a flimsy design, bulk, etc. Personally I had the same choice as the user along w/ a friend.. We both went to sprint and looked at the pro and the diamond and realized that the pro felt toyish and cheap... The diamond felt sturdy and just felt better in the hand.

Obviously if the keyboard isn't the issue then it basically comes down to a)expandable memory, b)design, c)personal taste.

4GB is MORE then enough for me, I wont be finding myself running low any time soon (I'm at 800MB and thats trying to get there by adding more music).. Other people love to have everything with them, music, movies, etc.. 4GB wont cut it... so having expandable memory would really really help.

Its all personal taste IMHO... I do believe that we got lucky w/ the diamond and Juicy making roms.. we have some pretty wicked roms to choose from.

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

I say go for the pro due to more features and better looking phone. Also I think the diamond is for women. The pro is more manly. Sorry if i offend anyone

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

you forget the onboard memory... that makes a huge difference. because while you can use the 4 gigs to install things to, you're limited to the way that memory behaves, which is like an sd card.. which some programs can't be installed to. i ran into problems when i had a diamond, because after i installed everything i use, i had 8mb left, and thats barely enough for cache. same software installed to my pro, i have like 120mb free. for 50 bucks more, you get an sd card, tv out (doesn't work on the diamond), keyboard, virtually unlimited amounts of program memory... its not just sd card, taste, and design, or whatever.

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

I think they answered almost all your questions but all i have to say is dont get the storm because the diamond and the pro are much better devices and customizable than the storm the screen suckks and keyboard
