Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

i am with telus as well, i used to have the diamond but i had it replaced 4 times, so i got the pro. The pro is a sturdy phone I do not feel any of this flimsiness that others talk about. Plus limiting yourself to 4 GB? thats like going on viagra and watching porn. Go Pro.

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

I just went through the same decision and went with the Diamond due to size. The keyboard didn't matter to me but the SD card slot did. 4GB's just isn't really enough. But in the end the increased size just wasn't worth it. Its just personal taste and what your needs are. Neither phone is better, just different.

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

i say diamond.

touch pro is too bulky for my tastes and if i need 4gb+ of space for movies or music then i should be investing in an actual mp3 player.

the only other thing that i see as a pro on the touch pro is the extra ram? i think the touch pro has more ram than the diamond.. dont quote me though

If you love it then keep it.
The diamond would be just as good for those.
I have about filled up my 4gb but I have some "ridiculous" bitrate albums.
I could cut that way down. I have a couple converted DVDs too.
But thumbs are big so I have to use the compact qwerty.
I was about to get a Pro* but they're out of stock everywhere and my replacement Diamond is working really well so I'm keeping it, for now.

*I was switching to the Pro due to the on-screen keyboard pissing me off.
Turned out it was just TouchPal and I'm back to the Diamond keyboard and happy again (;

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

I say, go into a Sprint store and play with the Touch Pro. While your there compare them side by side. Look at the features, and decide which one would serve "your" needs the best.

Whichever you pick. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Good luck!

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

Can you use the Diamond ROMs on Touch Pro? Are they basically the same phones?

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

From your post you said your with Telus. The Ram on the Diamond and the Pro are the same 288mb ram.

The rest take in consideration what everyone else said.

I have played with both phone and now have just the Pro. It's not flimsy, just feels that way because or the keyboard. I had a P4000 (Titan) before, so i was really hooked on the slide out keyboard, that made me go with the pro.

Ends up being your own personal preference.

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

I put it like this. When these developers have android up and running on these two im gonna feel bad for the diamond user. Its gonna lack somewhere with its limitations. Im just gonna sit and wait.

How so? Once they get the soft keyboard figured out I don't see how it will be any different than the limitations on WM.

Re: Touch Diamond Or Touch Pro

I got the Diamond because of the size. I think the pro is to big for me, and I don't really need the keyboard.
