Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
Please be courteous and tasteful in any responses to this thread. We don't need to argue, we just need to post our positive reviews on cnet (http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/....html?tag=rnav) to show support for the TP and give PPCs the credit they deserve. Also remember to occasionally post on here, so we can keep the thread alive for those who haven't seen it. If you don't agree, you're more than welcome to leave the thread. This post is for Touch Pro owners that want to show support for their phones (that's why it's in the touch pro forum).
Moderator "Pattycerts" reinstated this thread on one condition: "OK, I'm moving back here again. PLAY NICE, without the personal attacks this thread can do a lot of good, so lets see to it that both hold true" I'm pretty sickened by some of the reviewers on CNET for the Sprint Touch Pro. They're rating this phone half a star out of five just because they're in love with their iPhones. They clearly don't know a thing about Windows Mobile or Sprint and the bias is appalling. "This phone doesn't have 3g" & "Just another asian joke!!!!!!!!"" - quotes like these make me sick (don't judge me for calling these reviewers names, they asked for it and it's just my opinion). Apparently, they have no idea what EVDO rev A is and don't realize our phones had it before the iPhone even came out. It's also obvious they skewed the "has this review been useful" option that cnet has for their reviews. Before this phone started getting noticed by people outside of ppcgeeks/xda, the reviews on cnet were much more realistic. I know i shouldn't care, but it's obvious iPhone users are bitter for some reason. That being said, this means war. Touch Pro vs iPhone users (keep it classy guys). I have nothing against friendly iPhoners, but when irrational/ignorant reviews are made about our phone, of course we're going to rally and show support. Why do any of us rate any product on a website? To give an accurate review of the product we bought and tested, so that others can learn from our purchases. That way, those people can make a better decision on buying a product. This is what this thread is about. Take back the respect that HTC should be earning with this phone. If you disagree on making the reviews right, then you obviously don't get it. I'm not saying everyone should go out and give it 5 stars, but it should not be getting half a star by someone that's not even with sprint and doesn't know what evdo is. It's neat to own a unique piece of tech, but the higher the demand, the better our devices will get. If HTC devices were more popular, maybe we'd be sitting with a CDMA Touch Hd right now, instead of the Touch Pro. Who knows? Sprint may even stray from offering so many business phones, if they finally get the iPhone. Where will that leave us? I say we band together and write positive reviews on CNET for this phone that we've come to love in a short time. It's obviously much better than our previous devices and shouldn't even come close to getting half a star! I mean, I love WM and don't like the iPhone, but i'd never give it a crappy rating like that. CNET's official review is 3 and a half stars... same as they gave the mogul! If you ask me, that's unfair because this phone trumps the mogul and fixes previous problem we had on our moguls. Meanwhile, they gave the 3g iPhone 4 stars on launch date even with all the fault and lack of simple features like copy/paste, video taking, and flash support. iPhone reviewers responded by giving it 3 stars - lower than CNET's rating! Our Touch Pro users responded to the TP by giving it 4 stars - higher than CNET'S rating! AGAIN, I ask that everyone who writes a review on cnet: to please, keep is clean and tasteful. We don't need to bash innocent iPhone users, we just need to give a true rating to silence these biased iPhoners. If you must, you could always just click "reply" on their review and tell them why you think they're just being biased (replies to reviews should be fair game because the original reviewers can defend themselves. Chances are they won't because they know it's a bs review in the first place). Please go here and write a positive review, so people who aren't biased that are looking for a great business/customizable phone can rely on real feedback: http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/....html?tag=rnav |

Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
lol **** them iphoners.
im a sprint sales associate and i rub my phone in their face every time i get a chance. now, i will say, jailbroke iPhones aren't BAD. i'm just not a fan. i prefer to set myself apart from all them lames. people see my phone and just go "wow, wtf is that?! *drops iphone*" and they COMPLETELY forget about multi-touch even existing once i circle the tiniest object in a picture and ZOOM in COMPLETELY to view it in detail. ouch. take that iphone. get a better camera first before you talk some ****! TOUCH PRO! |
Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
Sure jailbroken iphones aren't BAD, but they aren't GOOD either. :P

Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
i'm glad i'm not the only one that is bothered by these biased losers. i'd never give the iPhone half a star for a rating! that's just ridiculous that people would do that. in my review, i made sure to note the simple things the iphone STILL can't do. First, apple screws them with a 3gless version then they screw them more by refusing to update their phones with simple features like copy n paste!

They are so fixated on the "3G" thinking its the best thing in the world that happen to mobile devices. I tell you those commercials are getting in there heads.
And some of this comments are funny like this one: by dunkmetwice on November 8, 2008 Pros: Weight makes it harder to steal. Cons: No 3G. Are you kidding me? Sluggish, bulky, no standard headphone jack. |

Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
Hey fellas:
Since I do not care to join Cnet to post could someone please copy/post the folllowing review? Some Iphone users like the dude that gave the Pro half a star are plain retards man. Tell that MoFo that you just copied this review and pasted it and ask him if he can do that. Let the Pro users and WinMobile users shine and make progress and let that punk stay in the darkness. |

Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
To be honest,, Iphones are for Yuppie Motorola Razr users that want a little bit more "lets be like the rest of the population" in their life...
You know how it is... its like the dang mustang,,, Every chick drives a mustang,, every dude wants one... and yeah their cool and flashy,, but when you want quality, longevity, luxury and functionality you get a lexus, or a cadillac,,, I have asked almost every person that I see with an iphone what phone they had before they bought the iphone.. they all said razr.... lol I have never owned a razr in my life... my wife does,, and I just scough,,, because Im not a spikey haired beaded necklace wearing backpack toting ipod using flip flop wearing jeep driving hubastank listenin too college kid who spends his whole life bluetoothing ringtones from my razr or iphone.. I like endless possibillities,, and challenges... things you will not get with an iphone... Just My 2 cents worth... |

My iphone toting friend had a Moto Q before. But he's the hugest apple fanboy ever, so its no wonder he pays his $80/month for that POS.

Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
F Bonnie Cha and her stupid reviews.
"It fitd well in my pocket and I like all these buttons here and there. I give this phone a 4 out of 5..." That is what usually goes on when she talks about in her reviews |
Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
POS is the right sh*tting terminology to be used to describe that POS.Tell that biatch that she may try to fit it up her a)),that may fit better

Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET

iPhones are for people that would buy a copy of "smart phones for dummies," or for people that just want phones (too bad their carriers are known for dropped calls) Touch Pros are for everybody that loves computers because that's basically what it is. |

Bahh! They are i-sheeps and will always be i-sheeps. One thing I do like on the iphone is how nicely they have written the games for it. they have utalized the fukll power of their 3d engine. The games are rather nice and better than what I have seen on the Pro. Example would be the beer appplication. Theirs is smooth,. our is like a crack whoore. Its skits like mad! Other than that.. teh PRO beats it in all areas including the VGA screen. It small but damn its crisp! And ity does have a way better viewing angle than thwe iphoine too.

Re: Disgusted by iPhone users reviewing the TP with bias on CNET
Hahahahahahahaha!!!! I talked to an ATT rep prior to settling on Sprint and HTC who said to get the Tilt as it blew the iPhone away. Dear friend has it and I plyed with it. I don't prefer it at all....My mother who is a technophobe was freaked out with the iPhone, but she likes the zzzzTP. Ended up getting her the Instinct and she says that it is far easier than the iPhone, plus it has a replacable battery.
CNET has always been biased. Consumer reviews are better....not the editor! Bonnie Cha - Grrrrrr!!!!! Hahahahaha!!!! |

You are so right a few of my friends had razrs and now they got the ifone, i personally dnt like the pos. Pple pay 60-80 bux a month on top of what the pay for the ****phone. Steve Jobs is the biggest con artist i have ever seen. Apple is scared of Miscrosoft thats why they have there commericals that attack Windows. Apple stop being jealous of Microsoft. |

There is not one single Apple product in my house. I have 4 siblings and we all use HTC Phones from Vogue, Titan, 8525, and Tilt. I hate all their iPods because they are just stupid. I especially hate when car radios come "iPod ready" so you can hook up your iPods. Cant you just burn a damn cd to play your music? Screw Apple and their bitter, unsweet, overpriced and rotten products =] |
