i don't go out of the way to call innocent iPhone users names or argue with them and i definitely don't go out rating their iPhone a 1 (because i agree, it's a good phone just not what i'm interested in). If people don't have pride in their Touch Pro that's fine, but for those of us that do... they should be able to speak their mind and balance out the ratings.

I totally agree. Some people out there are insecure with themselves and the things they do. I personally am very confident in the purchase I made of this phone especially since i can work and develop this thing into a sleek well working machine that is personalized completely to me and how I like things. People get upset when someone says something bad about your phone dont take it personally take it as either ignorance or jealousy. Now if someone personally attacks a friend or something then fine get angry and do something about it but people it is a Phone and most members of this site know more about there phones then a lot of iPhone users ever will. If someone tried to put down my phone i would just be like you didnt purchase did you. I text alot during class and everyone that has seen my phone has loved it and wants one even Iphone users. There will always be Immature people out there but most of us here are responsible people who are at this site for a common purpose, and that is to better the user experience of these phones not to bash users of other phones all those who are bashing iPhone users please get a hold of yourselves regain your composure and get back to what we are here to do.

I value both devices for their strengths. As for others who have to prove their phone is superior, I'd say its time to look carefully at their own self-worth and why even some of it is tied up in a phone. Seriously.

What does it diminish one if a bunch of Mac obsessed losers have to defend their precious iPhone against any even perceived threat? Let it go, and smile every time you don't have to re-type data into another app on your iPhone, using the magic of cut and paste, or your phone acts as a wireless high speed mobile router, or any other of the amazing highly extensible things one can do with Windows Mobile.

I admit the iphone looks great and is very simple..

I am the only one in my workplace that doesn't have an iphone..

When we were at lunch yesterday, I was talking to an uber-apple-fanboy about the iphone.. I told him he was in the matrix, that everything he thinks he knows about apple isn't true at all, and they the apple fan base isn't "thinking different" (to quote their old slogan) because they are all exactly the same.. You can't modify or customize or multitask on the iphone at all, every one of them are exactly the same.. He put his fingers in his ears and started saying "la la la I'm not listening"..

I would love for someone to write a program for WM that will somehow jam an i-phone through wifi or the cell radio or something.. That way I can press a button and the iphones in the vacinity suddenly don't work anymore.. That would be great..!

Why do any of us rate any product on a website? To give an accurate review of the product we bought and tested, so that others can learn from our purchases. That way, those people can make a better decision on buying a product. This is what this thread is about. Take back the respect that HTC should earn with this phone. If you disagree on making the reviews right, then you obviously don't get it. I'm not saying everyone should go out and give it 5 stars, but it should not be getting half a star by someone that's not even with sprint and doesn't know what evdo is. It's neat to own a unique piece of tech, but the higher the demand, the better our devices will get. If htc devices were more popular, maybe we'd be sitting with a CDMA Touch Hd right now, instead of the touch pro. Who knows? Sprint may even stray away from offerring so many business phones, if they finally get the iPhone. Where will that leave us?
On a side note, before this thread even started.. there was a review made on there that had the title ""Just another asian joke!!!!!!!!" with of course, a half star rating.
We didn't start it, we're ending it... at least on our turf - the reviews for the Sprint Touch Pro.
I will do one thing for people that can't handle people saying negative things about iPhone users.. in the first post, i'll request that everyone please keep reviews clean and tasteful as much as possible.

iphone is a simple phone. It has all the shiny features without any of the real geek fun stuff to do. I love the fact that i can install custom roms on this phone. I'm itching for a new rom to make my phone run smoother than anyone else i know and tweak anything i want to make it run the way i want.

I hate itunes probably more than any other software out there. If any of you are using an ipod 5.5 or older go get yourself rockbox from www.rockbox.org so you don't have to use itunes and just drag and drop.

I'm the geek techy out of my friends and i've told them if any of em get an iphone i will disown them . Iphone users have no idea about what we can do with the touch pro and how many customizations there are out there.

The day i get an iphone is the day mac goes open source :P

Now let me stop this rant before i get even more angry at these idiots

HAHA true. I think their strongarm on their product is definitely holding the iPhone back from what it is capable of being. It's probably the reason why a lot of us stick with htc rather than jump to apple's phone.

I wish all users would review things like this but the sad truth is there are antagonist in everything we do. I personally do not take petty things like someone disliking an object i have. I very rarely run into people trying to put down my device most of the time it is people curious about it, and most the time I have some free time and i sit there a little while and give them a little info about the device and refer them to this site to read up on it. Now as much as I have said dont take things personally I am not going to be a hypocrite and say I dont take things personally because I am actually going to out on a head hunt later tonight (its friday here) because someone has been giving my best friend crap and my best friend has a broken collar bone and a messed up shoulder. But honestly people its a device there is always gonna be haters out there we just have to acknowledge that and not take offense to the balls people grow over the internet and just let them have their own little fun. I believe all of us members of this respected site should not go out there bashing any devices.

All we're doing is balancing the reviews, so novice users know the truth about this phone. I know a lot of people that check cnet's reviews when researching, so it's not for nothing. Advanced users that frequent sites like ppcgeeks know the truth, but newcomers that are looking for their first super phone need to be guided in the right direction. Everyone knows what the iPhone is capable of, people should also know how powerful wm phones can be. Our community will grow and development for WM phones could increase. I'm not taking it as seriously as some may think, i'm just trying to show support and back our choice of brand. Because wm devices aren't advertised very well, i could have easily missed out on phones like the mogul and touch pro. Thank god curiosity got the best of me.
