Re: what made you choose the Touch Diamond over the Pro

I bought the non Pro due to size and weight. Been their done that with Mogul/Touch.

The internal SD is fine. I had a 2 gb in my touch and never came close to filling it. All that takes up significant space is iGuidance maps.

I don't do portable music.

The GSM Pro had more RAM then the diamond, so I think that's why some people are getting confused with the CDMA version.

Me either. I must be one of the only Neanderthals here and actually carry an iPod for when I want to listen to music. That and a pair of Bose headphones...

True, but the GSM version of the Diamond only has 192 MB of RAM... so the CDMA version is better

That's like saying why use your diamond for sending e-mails?? That's what computers are for lol. Not flamming you but i just don't get your point. I use mine as a mp3 player and it is GREAT the sound is much better than alot of mp3 players i have had and the sound quality is even better than the iphone. That's one of the main reasons people like there iphone because of all the space to store music. Your comment kinda defeats the purpose of having this type of phone if you don't use all the features.

Re: what made you choose the Touch Diamond over the Pro

Hmmm, pro has a 5-row qwerty keyboard on a device the length and width of the diamond. Sounds like it'd be a little cramped for my fat fingers. The Diamond is suited for my style of typing anyway... hunt and peck.

Your comment makes no sense. Are you trying to compare the size of an iPod or Zune to that of a computer?

I didn't think so...

I have music on my Diamond but it is certainly not my primary music player of choice. Maybe you just don't have as much music or such a diverse music interest as I do. 4-8 GB would never be enough for me. I have over 200 GB of music now on my server at home. More than that at work. What the hell would a Diamond or Pro do with that? At least with my iPod I can carry 60 GB...
