You need a standard (not SDHC) card of 2 gigs or less to flash with (or just use a blank RUU & a USB connection, that's how I flash probably 85% of the time). Feel free to PM me if you need help with your new setup.

I have two XV6800's & all tricked out I think they are still the best PPC currently available. My boss just returned a new TouchPro with a ton of problems. After playing with that POS I have no desire anymore to own one.........

At this point, it doesn't really matter as vz doesn't have the Pro yet anyway. When my boss told me he was getting one I thought I would want one as soon as I saw it. Just the opposite happened however, I was not one bit impressed with it (the piss poor quality of the tthing really turned me off) & now I appreciate my tricked out 6800's even more.

When you DL & unzip a custom ROM it will be inside a folder called the RUU. If you open that, you will see a file named RUU_signed.nbh. Also in there is a file called ROMupdate.exe. The RUU file is the custom ROM. If you connect the phone to your computer by USB & then run the update.exe it will flash your new ROM through the USB connection. You can delete the RUU_signed.nbh file when you're done & replace it with a different one & do the same thing all over again as many times as you want.

If you want too use a card to flash, the 8 gig won't work but the little 512 that probably comes in your new phone will work just fine.
