Yep. I love the 6900 but HTC really jacked up with no WiFi...

The rep told me that anywhere i could all they could offer me is a touch because according to them, its the the 6700 closest equivalent. Any truth to this anyone?
I was told I could get a Moto Q or another 6700 refurb. When I pointed out the Q is missing a touch screen and WiFi, I was told I could buy the 6800 for $339.99 [Verizon]

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

YAY i got a free mogul! Had a 6700 and i broke my memory card slot with super glue, took it into sprint and they gave me a free replacement 6700. after about 10 days of using headphones, one time i pulled them out and my headphone jack broke. Took the 2nd 6700 back and they told me they didnt have any more 6700s and that they could only give me a mogul or touch. since i use the keyboard and wifi alot i chose mogul. AND IT ROCKS. I only have 2 problems with it: I cant overclock it for my SNES emulator, and the amount of program memory is clearly ineffecient. But i do have to say, the mogul is better than the apache.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

i went in to get my 6700 repaired/replaced again today because it wouldnt hold a charge. this was the 2nd time i went in for the same issue in about a month and after waiting about 5 minutes the tech came out and told me they could either order me a refurbed 6700 or i could upgrade and get any phone with at least $150 off retail price (this was because i will have my 3rd 6700 replacement)

for now i decided to just get another 6700 because the mogul would cost me $299.99 after upgrade and rebates

any ideas on what i can do to get sprint to give me a mogul? without still having to spend $299 on the mogul (after $150 upgrade and some other stuff off)

You all are giving me hope of trying again to get a new 6800 I'll try on my way home and post results. I have keys on the dial pad that don't work all the time... I am on my 3 or 4th phone as well...

Put the phone in the microwave and say you made call before you went to bed and when you got up it wouldn't power on.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Well I went into a retail VZW store and they didn't have the phone in stock great I thought... nope. They said they could order it from the "warehouse" i said nope, due to the vast amount of problems and the numerous times I have replaced the phone I would like another model. I was told he could not release a new phone to me but if I got autherization from one of the customer service reps... So long story short I called spend almost an hour on the phone with VZW customer service and no Dice. (at least that time) I'm not going to give up just yet. I'm going to try another retail VZW and see if I can't at least get a newer 6700. One of the things they did tell me was that inorder to get an upgrade you have to go through 3 phones in short span of time. but the phone I have I have has since Feb.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

update on my issue from a few days ago, i went in today to get my refurbed 6700 and it turned out the refurbed 6700 i was supposed to get had a bad keyboard (some keys didnt work) so the tech just swapped me out for a brand new in box mogul and i was on my way.

so long fellow apache users, i love my new mogul!
