Re: Could the release of the Samsung Instinct cause a Cold war amoung users?
Dude they can develop phone that has everything in it. but they won't. They need to sell phones. it's their business. If they give u a phone that has everything in it, The next time u buy a phone will be? Hmmmm. 5 years? 7 years? We will not upgrade for a long time coz our phone already has everything on it. Yah digg? LOL

Re: Could the release of the Samsung Instinct cause a Cold war amoung users?
I'm just waiting to see the "My instinct (insert problem/complaint)" posts at sprintusers.com once it's out. My experiences with Samsung phones, a920 (reboot randomly, lockup) My wife's Upstage (sticks on Sprint music, control pad a POS) are almost uniformly bad. I actually went to the Apache to get away from the 920, which was so buggy it was almost unusable. There will be good and bad ones if that history repeats itself and, isn't the instinct the "replacement" for the Upstage?

I use to have the a920 too. I use it to show off full lenght movies on a small screened phone. I remember one dude ask me a funny question. Is the movie as long as in the theater? LOL I said only the screen size shrink not the audi/video content. LOL again.

Re: Could the release of the Samsung Instinct cause a Cold war amoung users?
IMO what it comes down to is Sprint sees the success of the iPhone and other media based phones and wants to pull as much weight with the Instinct as it can get. When Diamond and Touch Pro come out you'll see advertisements everywhere for them (tho I don't see very many tv commercials for the Instinct...only print ads go figure). Verizon released their Touch and it didn't make any noise at all. Every phone has its target audience....the Instinct and Diamond are geared towards those who are media hungry and the Touch Pro and Mogul are geared to those who are business oriented (even tho I used to use mine for music as well).
Bottom line...No Cold War...people who use HTC phones will more than likely stay with HTC phones. |
