upcoming Sprint LTE phones

Sprint LG Viper 4G goes on pre-order April 12 for $100, release date still TBA -- Engadget. Seems like the LG Viper will lead off the LTE phones on sprint

http://gizmodo.com/5899165/htc-evo-4...piece-of-slick looks like sprint's HTC One with LTE, looks nice too. Was a fan of the original EVO but didn't stick with it (too much of a playful distraction )

edit: modified thread to include other LTE phones :S figured it's better than having multiple threads in just a matter of hours

not much info/hype on it but it looks good for me too

at $100 it'd give the epic touch/iphone/htc one a run for their money

now to find out how well the lte holds up?

Its an OK phone for that price range, but HTC One is far better specs, and SGS2 has slightly better specs. The LG Viper is spec wise closest to Evo3d (minus the 3d but better screen) which also goes for $100. I mean the least they could have done was bump it to 1.5ghz :/

Re: LG Viper (Sprint LTE phone)

I just saw the evo LTE lol, sprint's planning to pack their new lte network this quarter?

I didn't mind the lower specs so much :S I'm more of a "phone" person than I am a "tablet" person in the case of phones... I only surf web occasionally or read news/weather when I'm not using phone to make calls. The most that I use my phone outside of calls/texts is gps, and that doesn't really demanding.

I might have to upgrade my sero soon with these new phones starting to get tempted lol, rather excited with the LTE news, the 4G was nice but being 20 minutes from Sprint's headquarters I could find no where in Kansas City that had 4G...

edit: bit off topic but with Google Fibers rolling out late this year and maybe sprint getting their network fixed up, looks like a good year to be in KC at least in terms of data connection. Cant wait for it, high speed internet for school + phone will mean I can do group work "individually" while staying connected

Yes, in a few places.

Well there is a good news and bad news. The good news is the 1900mhz should allow for farther range then 2.5ghz-2.6ghz used for wimax. The bad new is the 800mhz which is the best one won't be available on the initial phones

Yes, I don't understand why Sprint chose Kansas city as one of the first LTE places, your getting that Google fiber...Kansas is so spoiled! lol

Re: upcoming Sprint LTE phones

They better hurry and get LTE rolled out to a sizeable amount of people before these phones are released. otherwise those who buy them will be extremely disappointed and may even cause lots of returns and contract cancellations. I might come back to sprint in two years after my Tmo contract is up if they still have unlimited data and get their network straightened out everywhere around me.

Re: upcoming Sprint LTE phones

Sprint is so slow to release the phones let alone updates for them well atleast with samsung phones ( yeah i know sprint blames sammy and sammy blames sprint) The new Nexus phone still isnt out yet and when it does get released it will be old news in current spec's matters..

Also sprint hasnt officially stated the anything about the note but if no other Hard keyboard phone comes out i will probably get that one since it would allow more screen room when typing also it will save me from carrying around a tablet and a smartphone.
