Yea I find while the specs aren't as good factoring in the sunlight viewing of the pentile and the reception far out weigh. A benchmark only realized e-peen score.

you mean the pentile on the photon? Though I don't think pentile has any real effect as far as readability in sunlight really :/

Not sure but side by side photon is readable in direct sunlight when you can't even see the screen on the iPhone.

I'll tell you this..if you want decent sunlight view-ability..the display has to be matte and 400nit+...all the cellphone displays are reflective..hence making it harder to see..that said on my epic I know for one if background is black and text is white I can see that pretty good due to the high contrast

Re: SPRINT Motorola PHOTON 4G vs Samsung Within vs HTC Mazaa
do you guys have the brightness down? I can easily read black text on white background with this. its not perfect but I had do do the hand shadow with my epic to even hope to read it before. now its easily readable.

Re: SPRINT Motorola PHOTON 4G vs Samsung Within vs HTC Mazaa
I just recently upgraded to the Photon. It was a toss up for me between the Photon and the Galaxy S 2..I chose the Photon for practical reasons, more than raw power. It has gorilla glass (S2 does also). I'm a machinist and the tougher the phone the better. The Photon has the longest talk time rating. I go to school 2 nights a week so I often pull 17 hour days away from the charger. Finally, the Photon has a higher screen resolution. It's 100 pixels shy of the iPhone Retina display and it shows. It's very nice. Anyway, I guess my point is to look at all features of a phone and pick what really is going to suit you, not simply what is the newest or has the fastest processor spec.
