I think the op was trying to be funny and convey some of his experiences with the tp2 at the same time. Aztechka is absolutely correct. I had a TP2 for a long time as well and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Sure there was some things I didn't like, but you take the good with the bad. Let's try to not make this another back and forth slugfest over things that are subjective and often irrelevant. With that said, I'm going to move this to Phone comparisons. Thanks guys!

Can I ask what the reason or purpose is for starting such a thread? Is it helpful or beneficial to anyone here still using their tp2..cause I thought that's what this site was about? The way I see it, this thread is completely disrespecting anyone here who has ever helped or try'd to help you in the passed with the tp2. You yourself said you've tried out several roms on it..is this the thanks the chefs deserve for their time and efforts? And then you go on to say that you didn't install anything before reading it was okay'd here by others.. this is all you can give back to us in return? Like I said before..i feel it's disrespectful!!

Eric had a good point and the mods were keen enough to see that point.
Now it's in a phone comparison thread... Still not helpful. But that's how it goes in the interwebs.

I actually started the reply, but had to stop and run out quick to take care of something, before riley moved it. By the time I came back(1/2 hr or so) it had been moved but I was still in the reply thread page so I went ahead and finished it. When i noticed that it was moved I went back and made a few changes to lighten it some, but i still see it as disrespectful no matter how it goes on the web..

I agree bro... But look at the first two replies and the tone of your original reply... Those can also be considered disrespectful. .

We should be respectful even if we feel disrespected. At least within our community. There are cages where we can go to disrespect each other. But that comes with VIP status... Oops... I've said too much. LOL

I'm not telling you how to be little bro... I'm just saying you may have felt something the OP didn't even mean to make you feel.

for once we agree on something, im fine with these kinds of threads as long as they are posted in the right section. I spent alot of time last year around this time fighting against threads like this in the tp2 section but of course I got some heat for it. its good that we have a mod that moves these threads almost right away before things got ugly like they did last year when the EVO first came out.

Disrepectful? Seriously? I'm not talking about anyones personality or belief system or ancestral heritage. I'm talking about their phone. Come on, get serious. And yes I do think my post was helpful. Helpful for TP2 users who see this and realize their situation isn't as rare as they might think. Helpful for TP2 users who might be hesitant to move to another device DESPITE the device's shortcomings because they believe nothing else might fit what they want.

Want to know what REALLY finally got me to start thinking of getting off of the TP2? It was a friends simple flip phone. I noticed they were actually able to MAKE PHONE CALLS on it and they sounded half decent. I looked at my TP2 and realized its inability to do that was a major and glaring shortcoming of it. And that just got me looking at and thinking about everything else in the device that I had been choosing to ignore.

But to call this "disrespect" is just over the top. ITS A PHONE. Its NOT you. If you think it is, then I "respectfully" suggest you expand your life experiences.

With all due respect, I seriously don't know what the heck you are talking about in regards to the TP2 not being able to make phone calls. I have never had any problems with mine and the performance is significantly better than my Diamond and my old Vogue and the speakerphone is probably better than your new device or anything else out there for that matter. I am using the Sprint Shipped 6.1 rom. This is why I said earlier that you must be doing something wrong.

It's easy for you to sit there and say its not disrespectful because you've never contributed anything!! It takes countless hours of work to create some of the easier things around here let alone the time it takes to make a complete rom. For you to think that we don't in a sense feel attached to our work is foolish on your part especially with the amount of work put into it! You obviously have no idea what your talking about to even suggest this thread is in any way helpful. (if it was it wouldn't have been moved). whether or not you see it or meant it to be..it's DISRESPECTFUL!

I too, like horndoc, have never had any problems with making calls..it's the best of all the phones I've ever had in that dept.. actually in all departments! Maybe you had coverage issues or some kind of hardware problem with it cause I haven't seen many, if any, threads about poor call quality with it here..

75-95% of all error are user caused..I've been running the stock sprint 6.5 rom, fully loaded with cht, and don't have any of the problems you spoke of. (and the sprint 6.5 is supposedly the buggiest of them all)

nope, never ever had any problems making calls on my TP2 or with phone call quality, maybe its because you have AT$T
