So? Why should I care about this? You keep cluttering up the discussion with crap that has nothing to do with this. OLED tv's are generally better than LCD has absolutely nothing to do with either of these phones. And even if it was somehow related, not EVERY OLED tv is better than EVERY LCD. I'll take a 75" top notch LCD tv with glasses free 3D over a 13" OLED tv with no 3D, every time.

umm..75" compared to 13"..isnt that a bit stretching it? we are talking about same sized 4.3" phones..SGS2 has a 4.5" version too...

First off, HTC doesn't make "sub par" cameras. The camera on the Evo is just fine. Yeah, you may have to adjust some settings in order to get a better picture, but it is very much possible to get good quality out the Evo camera. It's certainly on par or better than the Droid cameras.

They make sub par cameras..both sgs and iphone camera completely destroy the evos camera..

There are way, WAY more people ready to make use of 3D cameras and a glasses free 3D screen, than there are ready to make use of a 2 megapixel video chat from a phone. There is literally no video chat client that runs on Android that will stream a 2 megapixel video stream. And there is no client that will receive and display such a stream anyway. No comparison here. You were obviously biased and just making crap up when you said the 3D cameras on the Evo were an unknown, the 3D screen was a tie, and the front camera on the Galaxy S 2 was better due to the more megapixels. The bottom line is, everything you can do with the Sammy front cam can be done with the Evo 3D front cam. But the sammy will never take the 3D pics and vids that the Evo 3D takes, nor will it ever display the 3D videos, or the high resolution of the Evo 3D screen.

3d front cam? it can display the higher resolution by connecting it via MHL...and as I said 3d is a gimmick tech..I remember watching jurrasic park in orlando in 3d cool..movies..cool..but I would never use it to record a video...neither would I use it on a small cellphone screen..I am telling you you have to see it in person..its nothing that great...

your under impression that encryption means data cant be copied..it can with a password..anyways no IT person is gonna spend time using clockwork or amon ra or etc..they instead hook it up to a tool like Samsung Odin and flahs 10 devices at once...then remote sync the data..thats the standard security policy in corporations...

True, Samsung can decide to include some components that haven't been fully tested. But then you end up with the faulty GPS of the Galaxy S, and the faulty radios of the Nexus S 4G. I would certainly not call that an advantage.

Those are not because they are poorly tested Nexus S 4g uses the same chip as the Epic 4g for 4g..as for GPS..people are saying that what happened was Samsung planned to use Skyhook instead of Google for maps..at last minute samsung was forced to drop skyhook by Google and use Google for location based services..hence the poor GPS...also the GPS chip was not made by samsung...

See you have to see how it works...Samsung makes chip, tests chip, releases prototypes, sells chip, manufacturer uses chip..samsung on other hand can already use it at the prototype phase...

CyanogemMod is a whole team of people. Clearly, you were wrong in your assesment of the Galaxy S and CM support. They just barely got the first CM7 nightly for a Galaxy S device a couple weeks ago. I posted the link. And this is with a whole team of developers.

They were working on multiple devices...not just one..and guess what TE WHOLE TEAM got SGS2 from them...

Man, you realize that hundreds or even thousands of people said they were getting an HTC phone when HTC agreed to open the bootloaders? Liek I said, Samsung is just playing catch up. You can bet there will be more custom ROMs for the HTC phones, just like there always has been. The Samsung is NOT a better phone. If it were, then they wouldn't have to give them away in order to get people to develop for them. It's not like these devs are a bunch of idiots who just don't know any better. They know which phones are the best and they buy the ones they want.

Actually most people buy things they are familiar with...brand effects people more then anything else..hence why Apple is doing so well...They gave them phones away as a marketing gimmick and its a good move on their part...

Yes, HTC will sell more smartphones than Samsung. They will sell a LOT more smartphones than Samsung.

You do realize that the quarterly profits HTC just posted were about half of the quarterly profits Samsung posted in their best quarter ever, for the whole company- not just mobile. So you are out of your mind if you think Samsung is going to compete with HTC in this area. HTC is a MUCH larger phone manufacturer than Sansung.

You do realize that around 25% of all cellphones in the US are Samsung right? cause smartphones are not only phones there are...samsung also is 2nd largest cellphone manufacturer around the world behind Nokia...

Now in terms of smartphones..Samsung sold a record amount of SGS phone in the US..

HTC had total revenue of $3.5 billion earnings and $511 million profit..Samsung earned 2.85$ billion in just profit...

HTC cant be the only option forever..change comes..this year we have mroe choice of phones and OEMs then ever..so its progress whether you like it or not...
