the thudnerbolt/mytouch 4g cpu has securemsm as well and doesnt do those things:

so while securemsm "might" be it..not enough documentation..so either HTC isnt using it or its not the same..
So don't put it in your personal list of features then, lol. Like I care if you list it as a feature or not. Qualcomm does, Netflix does, and I will have it on my Evo 3D. Like I have said all along, just because you keep saying something doesn't mean it's true. You're on qualcom's website, reading about the features of their Snapdragon chip, and still denying said feature is there. lol, what can I tell you man.

Its unrelated to netflix, pretty much every phone can run netflix now one way or the other...what it means is when data is stored on your phone by default is is AES encrypted..this way if an app goes viral or someone steals your phone..your personal/corporate info is secure..

AES 256-bit encryption on Fujitsu hard drives | Defense in Depth - CNET News
AES Hard Drive protection at the hardware level - Stingray

This is a very important corporate feature that so far has been lacking..there are software implementations via apps and winmo had software implementations..but hardware implementation is better and more secure.

I have not seen HTC make use of SecueMSM to accomplish this in devices capable of it...hence SecureMSM either cant or HTC has not programmed support for it.

What does that have to do with anything?

You said it did not have encryption. I posted the link proving it does. You said you couldn't accept it. I pointed out everyone else does. You said Netflix doesn't. I pointed out that they specifically said they do.

Anything else?

Nice try at yet another straw man.

we are talking about 2 different things....hence I said netflix is not the same kind of encryption...

and for the record the Evo 4g does not have Secure MSM yet its running netflix just fine:

Mobile Processors | Snapdragon | Qualcomm

Please show me where I said only phones with Secure MSM would ever have Netflix. Yet another straw man of yours.

Re: Evo 4g/Evo 3D

Evo 3d vs Sensation benchmarks:

AnandTech - Hands on and Benchmarks of two MSM8x60 Phones - HTC Sensation 4G and HTC EVO 3D

as you can see Evo3d and sensation scored within margin/optimizations of error of each other on all tests..scoring an 8% increase in 1 test at best...

so can we now agree that the sensation is a decent caliber of Evo 3ds power..we can add even 10% if you like to all benchmark scores...

No, we absolutely cannot agree on that. You are wrong, period. You cite for evidence a test showing the Evo 3D beating the Sensation in every single test? lol. And still, we don't know the stuff running on each device. Pretty sure they don't have the exact same ROM though. My guess is the Evo 3D has all the Sprint bloatware. You said your previous guess on the Sensation was it was an international version with no bloatware.

Exactly that. Like I said, show me where I said only phone with Secure MSM would ever get Netflix. You do pretty decent job of tearing down arguments that nobody ever made. Here's a hint: I never said the Evo wouldn't get Netflix. I know darn well the Evo already has Netflix because I use it on my Evo all the time. YOU are the one who said Netflix didn't care about Secure MSM, so I pointed out that Netflix themselves said they do.

Bottom line- the Evo 3D is secure. You were wrong on that claim , like so many others. And every time I point it out you flood the thread with more BS, false claims, change the subject, build up straw men and then tear them down, make a bunch of excuses, and so on.

Lets not forget- this is about you claiming that HTC was merely "catching up at best to what ever other OEM did several years ago" and then changing the subject to all of this nonsense when you got called on that BS claim. You then went on to claim the Galaxy S 2 was equal or better in every spec than the Evo 3D. That got proven wrong, and you moved on to bench scores. I told you they weren't accurate, and it was a lesser device anyway. Now your evidence that the Sensation is equal to the Evo 3D is a bunch of tests where the Evo 3D scored higher than the Sensation. And this is after you said the sensation was likely running an international ROM with no bloatware, going against a Sprint Stock and boated Evo 3D ROM.

You're just off in your own world man.
