Re: Epic VS EVO

-1, since it's a Samsung device, it will get no XDA-Devs support.. Which means minimal programmer/customizing community...

Re: Epic VS EVO

Phone doesn't look bad, but i really don't cut for Samsung phones. To me, HTC makes the best WinMo & Android phones!!!

Samsung devices have their own communities as well..like SDX-Developers...

that said this device is going to ALL carriers...and XDA already added a section for the Galaxy S which already has 3000 posts..with development already going on..it already has been rooted as well.

Re: Epic VS EVO

It is so hard to compare these superphones when both are so much better than anything that has come before.

True. The only comparison I have so far is physical keyboard, mega pixel difference in HD camera, and proprietary software overlay.

Yes and no..while they are in lined like the TP..they are also spaced out like on the TP2..and it should be the same size as the TP2 keyboard due to the 4" size

Agreed..this looks like one samsung device that could actually get some decent community support. ive been following the forums at xda a little bit and the root process seems fairly straight forward.

since all carries in the US will have this phone it should get community support real soon.

Re: Epic VS EVO

Here is how sprint compares them..at same time confirms $10 fee and some kind of movie store :/

-------------------------------

Also wanted to add that the Epic will actually weigh less then the EVO...despite the keyboard..and before anyone says cheaper build quality..if you see the samsung galaxy s take apart you would see its VERY compact on the inside...
