Agreed..this looks like one samsung device that could actually get some decent community support. ive been following the forums at xda a little bit and the root process seems fairly straight forward.

since all carries in the US will have this phone it should get community support real soon.

Re: Epic VS EVO

btw.. for all the plwho said that the epic will not get a lot o9f support over at the ppc sites like xda, fear not. They put a section for it today. Time to gear up and start saving for the galaxy! Now that phone wil do circles on the iphone 4 and evo combined. lol

Phone doesn't look bad, but i really don't cut for Samsung phones. To me, HTC makes the best WinMo & Android phones!!!

Re: Epic VS EVO

It is so hard to compare these superphones when both are so much better than anything that has come before.

True. The only comparison I have so far is physical keyboard, mega pixel difference in HD camera, and proprietary software overlay.

Re: Epic VS EVO

Here is how sprint compares them..at same time confirms $10 fee and some kind of movie store :/

-------------------------------

Also wanted to add that the Epic will actually weigh less then the EVO...despite the keyboard..and before anyone says cheaper build quality..if you see the samsung galaxy s take apart you would see its VERY compact on the inside...

Re: Epic VS EVO

Didnt HTC say that the 30fps cap cannot be increased for some hardware issue. I think I read this over at engadget. Ifr this is true and xda cant crack it either, then once again HTC fails at a good device. Seems like every htc device has problems. And not common problems but more or poor quality builds and cheating the hardware. Its always us cracking their junk devices to make them bearable. Another good reason I wont buy HTC. Samsung will be a excellent choice for a change. And if the rumors are true.. then the galaxy will tripple the power of the Evo. And yes.. no 30fps caps.

Re: Epic VS EVO

I here that the epic will have agps. While the evo has true gps. I believe the epic screen has more colors giving the user a better display due to its ablility so show more true to life colors.

The EVO has an A-GPS as well...

A-GPS does not always mean it requires the towers...it just means that it CAN use the towers to save battery life and get a lock faster...
