Re: EVO not WORTH the switch
That's why I returned my EVO yesterday, I prefer something with physical keyboard, plus bluetooth is not good, cannot initiate call thru bt button. Bye bye EVO, come back with my TP2.

That snapdragon rocks though kindof makes me want an hd2. You can almost do without a kb with swype but it does really work better overall when typing out long messages such as this. The new device development has also reached a new level we see it with the evo being the 1st gen out... There is 3d sound coming. 3d screens. better oled stuff. Definately if contracts/money are an issue for some of you. Hold out for the next better devices to hit Q4 and Q1 next year... they are going to be amazing. I want a 5" device myself. |

iGO8 is on Android The same maps you use on other platforms work on Android as well. http://www.igomyway.com/android/en/overview.html Can't say much about any aviation moving map softwares, but I believe Pilot My-Cast is one of the options, and it's available for Android. Quote:
Sure it is a good platform..... but it's not as good as it can be. Microsoft has been resting on it's laurels and hasn't breathed any real effort in the platform or released anything that was great since WM 5.0. Apple and other makes have filled a gap the consumers have been wanting for a long time.... smart phone usability. They delivered and the market responded. Not sure how that makes users ignorant.... to me it just shows Microsoft's indifference to a market that is becoming more and more important (mobile). The only ignorance I've really seen is the blind fan boi comments flying back and forth from each camps. "Platform so and so doesnt have software X, and won't for years....." without doing their own research.

Re: EVO not WORTH the switch
i'm talking behind the scenes (coding etc..) not the interface. As we can expect with just about any ppc, modifications will commence and make the interface customizable how we like remember?

and i'm not talking just the interface because iphone against wp7 i'd still take wp7 Metro. i'm also talking about the amount of control MS seems to be taking with WP7 which is right up apple's alley. google/android on the other hand, is still allowing even the most worthless of modifications to Android such as the LG Ally and the MyTouch Slide Last edited by jbearamus; 06-07-2010 at 12:47 PM. |
