yes they do. my brother used my upgrade to get his Evo and when we ran it through the activation system it had me add it. when i went back in to move my line back to my TP2 it said "removed incompatible features" and it automatically dropped the $10 from my line, then of course added to his

you're also assuming we'll be able to modifications that are as extensive as WinMo can now, it won't necessarily be true that we'll be able to make the same changes with WP7, unless you've managed to go take a peek at the source code
and i'm not talking just the interface because iphone against wp7 i'd still take wp7 Metro. i'm also talking about the amount of control MS seems to be taking with WP7 which is right up apple's alley. google/android on the other hand, is still allowing even the most worthless of modifications to Android such as the LG Ally and the MyTouch Slide
