I don't have a custom ROM... I run stock Srpint 6.5 rom and I absolutely love my phone.
Have loved it for nine months now.

Those things alone (without 4G) make it such a sweeter device. The processor makes such a huge difference.

It's a personal thing. I got my HD2 and within a week I was flashing a custom ROM cuz I just had to have some features (titanium, more tweaks, better build, tethering, etc...)

Its all bout need vs want..lol i dont need the evo.. cause my hero is running strong..

overclocked to 768 mhz,, 16gb sd, app2sd, 3500 mAh extended battery..

my hero will last longer and do 80% of everything the evo can do..on a smaller screen.. and i saved $450.00 bucks.lol but will prolly get the evo around dec for my bday.lol

Well the problem with the snapdragons is their not so impressive GPU..but the hero doesn't even use the GPU so....By December there will be no point in getting the EVO as there will be 2 more 4g phones probably with better specs..maybe the Samsung Galaxy S >.>..now the GPU on that is good.

But as it stands EVO is at least 2x better then a hero

I will still get a evo around dec only cause by then there will be a thousand mods and roms by then..

I dont care to play games that require a gpu on my phone,lol i mean paper toss is bout the only game i play..So in reality my oc'd hero will do all the things i would do on the evo the same.. text, email, facebook, weather radar..etc.. youtube once in a blue moon.. but thats bout it..oh and listen to mp3's or stream last.fm.. so right now 450 bucks save ( for me anyway ) on hype. as my hero will do all those tasks the same as the evo. just on a smaller screen.lol

GPU allows for highdef streaming off youtube..not to mention it helps web pages load faster when using the internet. It is also more energy efficient so more battery life. It also has a keyboard making texting/emailing easier..it also comes out summer so there is plenty of time till December to get mods on it.
